We stayed at this place as a couple and then quickly booked it again for us and our family who were coming for a visit - it is a great place. There are two buildings, seperate from the owners' house. One is a suite, and the other is a small cottage with two large bedrooms with private bathrooms and a shared living room/kitchen. We had the small cottage, and there was plenty of room for our family to relax in the evenings. The kitchen was nicely equipped, including a gas barbeque outside. Around the cottages, there is a bird watching area along a creek and an osprey nest nearby, as well as a hot tub, an outdoor eating area, and a large field with a badminton net, a few golf holes, and all sorts of sports equipment. We saw guests who were both adults and children out playing in the field. The field is also great for star-gazing in the evenings.
Tom, the host, is very friendly and full of great advice on what to see around Oliver. He made delicious, hot breakfasts with plentiful coffee. The B&B is also very close to the hike and bike trail. The first time we visited, we were on bicycle and it was nice to be able to be so handy to the path and nearby wineries, lakes, etc. The path is also great for early morning walks.
We all really enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend Elm Tree to anyone staying in the Oliver area.
