“Great Place To Stay on the Sunshine Coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

We recently stayed and the Lund Hotel on our boat trip up to Desolation Sound. Our room was remodeled and decorated beautifully and had a rap around deck that overlooked their docks where our boat was docked. The bead was one of the most comfortable that we have ever slept on. Service at the Lund Hotel is first rate and dinner at the restaurant was fantastic. This was one of the best lodging experiences that we have ever had on our travels. We highly recommend this historic hotel to anyone going up to Desolation Sound or the northern Sunshine Coast.

Loved our visit to Lund and the hotel. Room was small but the balcony was grand! We love the waterfront action. Store in the hotel had a great wine selection. Dinner on the patio with the setting sun was wonderful.

This is a lovely location. The rooms have been renovated in this old Hotel and are very comfortable we had a room facing the water. We stayed for 5 nights. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant offers good basic food but there are a number of excellent restaurant in the area.

Room Tip: The water front rooms are the way to go

We stayed one night at the Lund Hotel and wished we had booked more nights there instead of moving on. We stayed in the superior King room and loved it. It had a wrap around terrace and a fantastic view of the water and the marina. We will definitely be returning there again. Sweet little spot at the end of Hwy 101. Good food in the dining room and quiet little place after 9 pm. Staff were very good. Our room was luxurious and spotless.

Room Tip: pay the extra and get a water front room ... well worth it.

We stayed one night in this hotel and we were glad that we could move on the next day. The room was dirty, bathtub was filthy and the amenities were renovated but a quite a while and many visitors ago. The building has so many add ons that the heritage value is gone. Food was average and for breakfast I asked for yogurt and they didn't have it. If you have an option, pass on this one.

Room Tip: Stay in the main building if you need to stay here.

Great location, lots of outdoor stuff to do hiking ,fishing and boating,, The front desk staff are great. The rooms are just ok but the cleaning staff leaves a lot to be desired, just fluffing up the bed is not enough, maybe sweeping the floors would be good, The food was good. Great sunsets. If you are not too picky it's a place to stay. Remove the TV as they do not work.. A nice little town

Room Tip: Sleep with your windows open and leave the noisy AC off
