Owner description: The Perfume Studio is probably more aptly described as a Visitor Centre. We have plenty to do on a rainy day: whilst we are situated on the shores of Loch Ewe, you can also see amazing views out towards the Torridan Mountains and the Minch. The views can be a real 'weather theatre'. We have a wonderful cafe, serving coffees, teas and cakes, as well as lunches. All of our baking is homemade by ourselves. All food served in the cafe is made fresh to order, so no 'fast food' here! The shop offers not only our own Perfume Studio products, made on site such as soaps, cremes, body washes, body oils and perfumes, but small gift items too, including locally made jewellery and woollens, ceramics, themed gifts, cushions and a multitude of chutneys and pickles! We also have the Image Studio and whilst this comes to life during the winter months when the light is at its best in the Highlands for photographers, during the summer it is a peaceful area where people can watch our on-screen photography display, peruse books and magazines and have a debate about the photographs on the large display board. Visit Scotland accredit us with a 5* rating.

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

Popped in here for a bite to eat while touring the area in mid-September. Not sure we would have found it without the personal recommendation we had, but having been once we would definitely go back again. We enjoyed a lovely lunch - all very fresh and as stated in the description, everything is made fresh to order. The greek salad was especially nice with a huge chunky of delicious fresh bread on the side. Lovely airy café with great views - definitely worth a visit.

“Best cake ever”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Went here for the perfume after reading a flyer while staying in gairloch. Ended up having a cuppa and some cake in the cafe. I had a coffee and walnut cake which was simply the best slice of cake I've ever eaten. I want to go back for more. It's almost worth the 6 hour drive from Lanark just to have another slice!

“Brilliant lunch.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

We've had lunch here a couple of times and everything about the cafe is lovely. Their open sandwiches are quite a treat. The service is excellent and views from the cafe are beautiful. The shop is good for a wee browse for gifts

“A gem of a place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2013

This place is a real gem and well worth a visit. A lovely shop with plenty of quirky/interesting things to buy. The cafe is spotless and has a lovely choice of food - clotted cream scones were delicious. Staff very helpful and the views are breathtaking - even on a cloudy day.

“Very relaxing and beautiful place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

After a long motorbike ride, I arrived here to a warm welcome, stunning views and a lovely lunch. Very much worth visiting if you are in the area and a wonderful, relaxing place to spend a few hours. Fantastic chocolate cake too! And the shop sells some very nice perfumes (for men and women), lotions and creams which are made on the premises.
