Stayed here for the Easter weekend for 2 nights. Had the family room with an extra bed so was a slightly tight squeeze with 2 adults and 2 teenage girls, but no complaints from us as it was our choice and all the other little touches made up for it - dried flower arrangements in the bathroom, bubblebath, cotton balls, plenty of choice on the hospitality tray, comfortable beds, TV with DVD and lovely views watching the new lambs play in the fields.
Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. We also made use of the guest kitchen as after a long day at the Ice Bowl watching the synchronised skating competition we just could not be bothered to go out to eat. We also made friends with their lovely alsation dog Otis, he kept bringing his football to the girls wanting to play!
We will hopefully be back in Dumfries next year and will not hesitate to book Soutpark House again.

Very warm welcome from a landlord who obviously takes great pride in keeping guests happy - he struck a superb balance between offering help and leaving guests to their own devices.

Fantastic breakfast - there are menus in the room to pre-order your cooked breakfast and you can change what you want from day to day. I tried a few different options and it was all great - the scrambled eggs with cheese are well worth a go! Also a well-equipped kitchen.

Warm and comfortable room with a superb king bed.

Good location with views over the valleys from the dining area and easy to get into Dumfries itself or a Tesco/Petrol Station a couple of minutes drive away.

We will visit again and have recommended it to friends and family.

We stayed here Sat 11-February for 1night. Lovely first impression going through the door with the guest lounge. Very welcoming reception from Ewan. Room was in very good condition, loved the big bath and fittings in the bathroom. Big king size bed with lovely views over the valleys. Overall very clean with good attention to detail. The guest kitchen is fantastic as we ended up buying dinner in Morrisons and taking it back to cook it.

I've stayed in Hilton hotels and this is far far better. Would love to come back if ever driving through the south west of Scotland

Breakfast was amazing.
Thanks for everything
Graeme & Laura

Room Tip: We had room 5 which had a huge bath, king size bed and lovely views

We don't know where to start...what an amazing bed and breakfast Ewan has. We were made to feel so welcome as soon as we rang the doorbell and from the minute we stepped foot into the house we were made to feel right at home.

We stayed in Room 5 which had a King size bed which is probably the best bed we have slept in ever at a B&B. The room was spotlessly clean and the showering facilities were second to none. We would go as far to say that if you forgot any showering products everything from shower gel to cotton buds were available.

There is also a guest kitchen that has all facilities needed if you wished to use it. Also, which you wouldn't also get at a B & B was a guest lounge which had SKY Television.

The breakfast area had fantastic views and there was a great selection of food and also Ewan knows how to cook a mean fry up in the morning.

We are definitely planning on staying there again in the not to distant future and would highly recommend this B & B for anyone who wants a quiet weekend away in Dumfries and Galloway which is only a 5 minute drive away.
