“Top quality food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 20, 2013

Trying out this restaurant for the first time, we were pleasantly surprised. The first thing that struck us was that it was the only restaurant in Albion Street Broadstairs that was busy on the night we visited. A good sign.

The service was attentive but not hovering. The food was top quality. A rib-eye steak here is big. Fills both the plate and the diner. The lamb chops are meaty and tasty.

The only drawback - and many might not consider it so given the quality of the food - is price. It is not a wallet-breaker and if you like good food, it's worth it.

“Micowaved my meatballs”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013 via mobile

We went here for the first time this weekend based on the reviews on this site.

Have to say we were pretty underwhelmed... The place was very busy which we thought was a good sign. It's not exactly cheap from what I remember.. My starter was on the small side. When we got our pasta dishes they were as hot as if they had been pulled from the reactor of Chernobyl... Maybe they have discovered a way of super boiling pasta? I suspect the microwave is in full swing on a busy night.

I was expecting amazing...i got ok.

“Yet another great meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

We cannot seem to stay away from Posillipo. We go to Broadstairs every few months and each time this restaurant is at the top of the whole family's list of places to eat (and it's very rare for our fussy children to agree with us most of the time!) The children love the pizza and the pasta and my husband and I have enjoyed trying many dishes on the menu. Service was very good this time (occasionally it has been a bit slower but the food is worth the wait.) We will be back.

“Excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013 via mobile

Visited here with a colleague and supplier. Was very busy but we'd booked and the waiter quickly had us seated with a drink. Food (pizza and swordfish) were excellent, although there was a huge amount of garlic in the spinach and pasta. All in all delicious.

“Fantastic Italian food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

We turned up on the off chance of getting a table and were fortunate enough to be seated. It's a very busy restaurant with a real buzz, which was perfect for a Saturday afternoon. Service was good but the star of the show was the food, alongside the view of Viking Bay.
Starters were excellent but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Linguine Posillipo for the main. Really fresh sea food and the flavours leapt off the plate. Wine was very nice and all in all, I'd say the whole meal was value for money (£45 for two).

A lovely way to waste a few hours on a Saturday afternoon.
