I visited Revolutions with my 11 year old son and his 2 friends as a birthday treat.
We travelled an hour and a half to get there and arrived for the 12pm session. We didn't have a plan as such but it worked out getting the all day ticket at £18 gave them the flexibility to come and go as they pleased, including a short drive to MacDonalds for tea and then back again.
If not in it for the whole day, the normal sessions last 2 hours at a time.
This place is fantastic!
The ramps cater for all abilities and ages and due to the sheer size and different areas, there's plenty of room for tricks/stunts or simply scooting/skate boarding / rollerblading without spoiling anyone elses fun. Obviously there were certain parts of the day busier than others but there's an etiquette that means everyone takes their turn at going and I saw no unfair behaviour.
There is a refreshment/tuck shop and before leaving we bought a large pizza for a very reasonable £7. They do tea & coffee which was a necessity for me whilst I sat watching for hours (and hours) but unfortunately no newspapers/mags ...... so as a parent if planning a long stay bring a book!
Also worth mentioning is the staff are all great. Anyone I had the need to speak with were really helpful and seemed to enjoy working there.
Overall, the boys had a fantastic day with little or no effort on my behalf and well worth the travel if making a day of it.
