“Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

A really special place to stay - Attila and Jeanne , the owners, provide an excellent experience from start to finish. They manage to be attentive to your every need, while never being intrusive or overbearing - we could not have been made to feel more welcome or been better looked after anywhere. They were informative, welcoming, helpful and at all times extremely professional (in the very best sense of the word). The hotel is set in a lovely garden, with a small but very pleasant bar and pool area. Excellent breakfasts are served at your table (a refreshing change from the now ubiquitous buffets), and there is a range of very good light snacks and salads available at lunchtime. In the evening, meals are served around the attractive pool area. There is little or no choice of dishes - Attila will let you know in the morning what is on the menu that evening and you can decide whether to book a table or not, as there are many restaurants in the lovely local village. However, the meals were some of the best food we have had in our extensive travels in Turkey, accompanied by some very good wine - especially the house Rose - so in the end we ate there each evening, and had lunches out.
After a couple of very relaxing days, you begin to feel that you are almost part of a family house party - reinforced by the friendliness of the two large dogs and the three (four?) delightful cats. All together, a highly enjoyable stay - should we ever return to the area we would undoubtedly stay there again. In fact, it would almost be worth a trip just to do that!.

We only stayed for a few days but we had a great time. Atila and Jeanne make you feel at home and the food is great. They have some dogs and cats on the grounds for animal lovers and a good sized pool. We stayed in a room with two twin beds and a fan. The village and Greek ghost town are a short walk away, but we felt the food at Villa Rhapsody was better than what we had in the village. There is a public taxi to Gemilier Beach that comes by the villa. We met other guests who have been regulars for years and it's clear why. Definitely recommend staying here rather than the hustle and bustle of Fethiye.

Our family of five stayed here for a blissful week in August and we will definitely be back!

We felt so well looked after by Attila and Jeanne - who are the perfect hosts - in the gorgeous and exceptionally good value Villa Rhapsody.

Rooms are simple and clean, gardens and pool beautiful - with perfectly placed poolside bar.
Other guests were also very friendly and sociable and our kids struck up friendships with other children staying there and the host's daughter Lara.

Because the hotel is small and our room was within earshot - it was marvelous being able to put our three to bed at 10pm and while away a few hours (or more!) at the bar.

Jeanne cooks amazing meals every night which we took advantage of most evenings. We and our (normally fussy) kids feasted on lamb shank, chicken stew with apricots, meat balls and king prawns. My husband, who doesn't eat meat, was well catered for too with seabass and other fish dishes. The lunch menu is delightful too - Mediterranean salads, Greek Omelette, pancakes - all incredibly reasonably priced using wonderfully tasty local produce.

Overall was a delightful stay and so relaxing. Attila organised our transfers and a car for the week so that was all taken care of too. There are plenty of things to see and visit nearby - eg Gemila beach (stunning cove), Fetiyhe's buzzing fish market (a must!), the Greek 'ghost' village, but to be honest most days we found it hard to drag ourselves away from the poolside!

Set in a lovely garden, a nice pool. Everything has a great attention to detail. Attila and Jeanne are excellent hosts. We arrived at 1130pm and were made to feel very at home instantly. Attila offered us a drink and opened the bar at the pool for a nightcap and a great chat after a long day.
We were up early and had a woeful breakfast around the pool. Great food and sadly we had to leave to start our Lycian way walk. We will be back.......

My friend and i stayed for three nights at villa rhapsody and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I'd highly recommend this pension to travellers for friendly and efficient the service provided by the owners and their staff, the location and lovely grounds. Atiller and Jeanne welcomed us warmly to their pension, answered all our questions, helped us organise the next part of our travels and made us feel at home.

The room was basic, but comfortable. Breakfast was very good and I enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast by the pool in the mornings. The pool area and gardens are well maintained and lovely places to relax and swim. I could easily have stayed longer. We are so pleased we stayed at villa rhapsody and not in Fethiye.

I also enjoyed the staying in Kayakoy, it's a peaceful and pretty town with lots of interesting history and walks.

We had a fantastic time with our family of 5 at this oasis of peace and good life on the Lycian coast. The difference with nearby Oludeniz and Fethiye could not be bigger. A quiet place, a warm and personal welcome, 'tailored' attention to one's needs. A perfect spot for daytrips (by car & boat), but also for a day in the sun at the side of the pool. The food was excellent. This was the only place on our 18-day tour of Turkey where the boys did not complain about the food. And definitely the best value for money we got on our whole trip;

We visited Villa Rhapsody for 7 nights for the first time this July having read the excellent reviews here. We weren’t disappointed, its perfect! Both Attilla and Jeanne were so very welcoming, the hotel is small and intimate and beautifully looked after. The garden, bar and pool area are so lovely we spent the best part of a day, just relaxing there and sampled a delightful lunch. Attilla sorted out a boat trip for us with some other guests and we had a really lovely day then all of us went out together to the Sarnic restaurant in Kayakoy that evening. The staff at Villa Rhapsody were so lovely and friendly and looked after our every need. We had one evening meal there which was excellent and we only didn’t have more because we wanted to try other places in Kayakoy There were two really friendly dogs at the hotel and Joseph loved playing with them.

This hotel is incredibly good value for money and we would highly recommend it to anyone who wants somewhere quiet but friendly. Thank you so much Attilla, Jeanne, Lara and the staff of Villa Rhapsody, we will be back to stay with you.
