“Beautiful in a quiet village”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2013

Short drive from the one of the top beaches in Turkey, walking distance to the village and the historic abandoned Greek town. The owners are extremely accommodating and the food was amazing. The rooms were minimal but sufficient , the grounds and pool beautiful. We can't wait to return

We arrived with our 7 year old son, delayed from a flight from Istanbul and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful - we were given a wonderful dinner straight away by the swimming pool and our bags were taken up for us. Throughout our 3 day stay, we had a lovely relaxing time, ate wonderful food there (all 3 of us had slightly different dietery requirements and we all came away from dinner very satisfied), and relaxed by the pool. We felt like our hosts were our friends by the time we left - very helpful indeed and keen to make things as relaxing for us as possible. We will be back. Extremely good value for money and a wonderful location.

This is a remarkable place to stay. The rooms are large (but I don't believe ours had AC). The pool is wonderful. Best of all is the food - dinner by the pool was great. It is only a 5 minute walk to the little village and the 'ghost town'. Very pretty grounds.

Myself and my family have stayed with Attila and Jeanne at this wonderful little hotel a number of times over the years. Their hospitality is second to none, the food that Jeanne cooks herself is always very tasty, and Attila is always on hand to organise outings, anything from boat trips to visits to the local beach. My two young children are always welcomed with open arms, we always feel like part of a big family and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel to anyone.

We arrived after along day travelling to a warm welcome from our hosts. Blue skies dazzling pool and bar. They insisted that we were on holiday and to take it easy. Afternoon tea by the pool a great touch ,place to unwind and recharge batteries as well as catch up on washing.
We dined in that night with our group great 3 course meal, even better breakfast with muesli and fresh Local fruit.

Not impressed with this place. The day we arrived at this Guesthouse the owners were too busy to speak to us as they were entertaining guests. We were basically shown our room and left alone. Not sure whether they offered dinner, we missed out that night. There is no information pamphlet in the room so guests are totally dependant on the owner for information - which resulted in a horrible night as the area is plagued by mosquitos. That night we initially left the balcony door open, but after having been invaded by mosquitos we were forced to close the door and survive with the room full of insects - no air-conditioning - only a fan - no mosquito nets - a bit pricey at TL 115 for such a remote destination? In comparison, we only paid TL 75 at Delphin Hotel in Patara - a room with aircon, a pool and mosquito nets, and thankfully a notice board with relevant info.

Room Tip: Make sure you put the fan on full blast!

Dear valued customer,
we regret a lot that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Unlike so many others your experience was not what you had expected.
We do all we can to satisfy our guests, that includes you and your wife.
Al the information you needed for your stay with us was given in advance by extended email, we do not need pamphlets because we are always here to serve our customers if there is anything else you need to know. The email you have received had all the information about the pension, about the area and about additional lunches and dinners we offer.

About your arrival: you arrived just at lunchtime, we did show you your room, and my husband did invite you for a welcome drink at the bar as we always do so, and he told you then he would give you more information about 5 o'clock tea time and about the dinner. Yes, we were also at the same time busy with our other guests serving their lunches.

Unfortunately you never came down to accept the offer, actually we never saw you down at all, actually you have been spending all rest of the day in your room (as we later found out one of you was not feeling well). Reasons that should not to be told here, but had surely nothing to do with our place.
We do though regret it a lot that one of you arrived in a poor health condition, it would have been more helpful for both sides if you would have told us about your situation so we could have done everything in our power to solve that problem, instead of staying in your room to only see you the next morning at breakfast time. But of course we do respect our customers choices, and if it seems they prefer to stay in their room then we do not disturb them.

About aircon, we are very happy to say that we do not need that, the night temperatures always drop down so much that the interior never gets too hot. At the time of your stay in early May the temperatures were still below 15°C. For that reason, mosquitos are also only a minor problem in this valley, and we are very sorry that some did seem to have bothered you. İt should be mentioned here that we do all we can to avoid any problem here. We spray the grounds and the rooms at any time it is necessary.

We thank you a lot for your time.

My husband & I have just returned from a super holiday in Turkey & stayed with Attilla & Jeanne at Villa Rhapsody, which we passed the year before when out walking.Everything said about Attilla is true- he is a wonderful, kind, friendly, helpful host & Jeanne is also lovely & quietly very efficient, as well as being a wonderful cook.Their small staff were efficient, polite & unobtrusive. We ate almost every Breakfast & Evening Meal on the Terrace, overlooking Pool & Garden. Everything was very fresh, mainly locally produced or purchased daily from the excellent market. Presentation of every dish was excellent & you could eat very well, & healthily, or be more indulgent if you chose. On the couple of occasions it was a little nippy or undecided, we ate in the delightful new Garden Room which overlooks fields & towards woods & mountains. This has a new Wood Burning Stove & I imagine it would be very cosy with that lit- we certainly did not need it when we were there, however. The 2nd week in May was warm/hot.
The garden & pool surrounds were well looked after & interesting, & you could always find a shady spot to read or rest from the sun . Rooms were very clean & simply furnished with ensuite shower room & balcony, our bed comfy with linen changed 2 or 3 times in our week.Room & Shower room cleaned daily.
Surrounding area great for walking & flattish all along the surrounding valley, with several small bars, restaurants within walking & cycling distance. The Pension had great bikes we were able to use, which we enjoyed, as strenuous walking was out of the question this year as my husband was getting over replacement Hip Revision surgery.Slightly further away were more adventurous walks such as the Lycian way.Kaya Village & the Ghost Village were within easy reach on foot or by bike.Enjoyed meeting the 2 new baby camels & definitely will try a Camel Ride next time.As the ones you ride were the new babies Mums I felt it was unfair for them to be being ridden, so that is why I didn't try it this time!! You could catch a Dolmus once an hour to Fethiye, right at the Pension's gates.Other guests were mainly very friendly & it was pleasant to chat at the Bar or Pool, or sit together for Dinner if you so wished. We hope to return before too long!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the front garden have a more attractive immediate view, but are darker in the morn...
