“Poor food and terrible value”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

There are some great places to eat in Dungarvan but this is not one of them. Visited on St. Patricks Day as everywhere else was jammed. Tiffany's was comparatively empty and now we know why. The menu looks ok but it's downhill from there.

We had pasta with prawns (a giant bowl if spaghetti with awful "tomatoe" sauce from a jar and tasteless prawns fajitas (marginally better but no flavour).

For the price we paid (each course was €15) this is very bad standard and value food by comparison to some fantastic places within a few hundred yard.

This place is not at all up to the great standards in Dungarvan.

“Good food and friendly service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

Had an evening meal in Tiffany's 2 weeks ago. There were very few other customers there even-though other restaurants in the town were full. We had two steak main-courses and a bottle of wine. We got a pleasant seat by the window. the waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The meal was excellent and good value for money. I would definately go again and would recommend it. Satisfied customer.

“Tiffany's?????”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013

First timer to Tiffany's, walked up to the window and looked in, only a couple of tables being used. Thought about it for a min or so and we said sure why not. Menu was very inviting and the decor was lovely. Greeted by staff member with a warm hello and brought to our table for two. Started with a soup and garlic mushrooms. The mushrooms were lovely and I ate the salad as well which I don't do at all. My fiancée had the soup, how can you go wrong with the soup?? As we tucked in we saw our waitress proceed to sit down at a table with her fellow staff member who had a laptop out and they proceeded to sit and chat. NOT PROFESSIONAL. main course orders were trad fish and chips and a ceaser salad with brown bread. Food was served, ceaser served with no brown bread, chicken was cold and very dry, lettuce ( I think it was ) was very limp and several black leaves. The plate was peppered with spices. The fish and chips was lovely ( which I had ). Whilst we were eating the restaurant was in shut down, lights off tables being cleaned, dessert fridge turned off. The chef left the building. It was nine o clock. Not once were we checked on until it was 9:20. Even then the waitress was not very attentive. " is everything ok" whilst on the back foot half way through the sentence. My fiancée and I both work in very well know hotel establishments and although this Place is not on the same level the basics are expected. 1: friendly staff 2: nice decor 3: good food choice 4: an explanation of what the food is ie. what is served on the plate with the main food choice 5: attentive staff and 6: if you have to complain, the waiter/ waitress is going to apologise or at least solve the problem. Tiffany's tonight was lacking on several of these points. Irish hospitality has dropped. It does not cost to be nice, attentive or make the customer feel important. We were the only ones there after our starter and the staff did not care. A shame, a big shame. After the complaint was made the waitress said is there anything I can get you. We said are you closing it looks like it and she replied yeh we actually close at nine so...........!!!!! Are you kidding me??????? Very disappointed. Irish hospitality has gone down big time. 15th/11th/2013.

“Great place for a piece of cake.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2013

I've known Tiffany's for 5 years now and always go there when visiting Dungarvan. This year was no exception, sitting in the sun on their terrace while sipping a cup of tea and tasting a good piece of cake or pie.
