We stayed with Keycamp for a 10-day trip in August, flying into Milan (which was actually not that bad a transfer with a hire car.) The bungalows looked ok from the outside and were painted a lovely Tuscan burnt orange colour. But inside, the bathroom was absolutely grim with mould and a grotty little shower that didn't feel clean. (yuk) I realise that showers are a bit of a theme in my reviews, but I like a warm shower. And Keycamp didn't change the towels during the duration of our stay so by the end of the 10-days they could have walked out of the bungalows themselves. The bedrooms were comfortable and felt clean and there was a safe in the wall, which gave it a hotel-feel. We were woken at 2am on the first night by very loud drunken singing from the bungalow that backed onto ours. Security guards tour the campsite so it didn't last *that* long but it was annoying.
Aside from the accommodation, the park itself is vast with various pools/slides and has a stunning view of Lake Garda and the mountains beyond. You can walk into the lovely medieval town of Peschiera at night along the side of the lake. It is well worth it because the shops and restaurants are good and it is just good for people-watching. There are vineyards nearby and my husband and another chap we met went visiting them and brought back some gorgeous reds. Bardolino is worth a visit - it's about half an hour away. And there are many other towns and villages near Lake Garda. Even though it was August, it wasn't unbearably warm. The pizzeria on the campsite was always busy but if you got in early, it wasn't so bad. Inevitably, the shop was very expensive but there's a Lidl nearby if you want to stock up. (It didn't take cards and was cash only when we visited it.) The children were entertained by the kids' clubs but they weren't fussed about the night-time entertainment, maybe because our bungalow was a long way from the place where the entertainment happened.
