“Great Italian meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

This restaurant is not to be missed while visiting the Tuscan region of Italy. The food was authentic and fresh. The menu changes daily to honor the daily local fare. You could tell that everything was made just for you (made to order). The waitress/proprietor took our sons order first and got it started right away. While the restaurant was a bit quiet the service was spot on. The pasta was so perfect that it melted in your mouth. The meat was creative and done to perfection. Very clean! This restaurant has many seat and could serve large parties or gatherings.. Go out of your way to eat here, you won't be sorry.

“Private Dinner with Family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

My husband and I enjoyed the most delightful, intimate dinner, with our daughter and granddaughter the beginning of April. The restaurant had been recommended by the Concierge of Castello Di Casole, as she was aware that we were celebrating four significant, family birthdays. Our dinner could not have been more special. We were the only four people dining in the restaurant this particular evening and we were made to feel special by the entire staff. The food, wine, ambiance, staff; well what can I say, it was simply an amazing experience!! We will look forward to returning one day. Mimi Simon

“Wonderful food, amazing service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

I went here on a very quiet Wednesday evening in early April. It is low season here and we were the only diners. We were very well looked after; attentive and friendly without that feeling of being constantly watched. I am gluten-free and I was still very welcomed in the restaurant. They brought out special breads for me and clearly explained the foods the I could eat on the menu. They even provided me with my own personalised amuse bouche. Everyone loved their food; high quality and beautifully presented. The wine list must have been 50 pages, all Italian wines and many were very reasonably priced. We went for their last bottle of the 1997 Castello Di Fontererutoli, a lovely Chianti. The decor was not to my taste but my fellow diners loved it.

“Worth a detour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012 via mobile

This restaurant just out side Casole d'Elsa great food, even for a one star Michelin. We hade black gnocchi, fresh posts with lobster and pepper, duck raw and cooked, and pigeon with a wonderful tobacco and chocolate sauce.

“Outstanding use of local produce”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

Sitting just outside the delightful village this is one of the best restaurants in the entire area. The best options are the various set menu's, starting at 40 , we had the 55 euro menu, consisting of 5 courses plus amuse bouche,
The pecorino soufflé was as light as anything ,the fish carpaccio full of flavour, the only issue was with the pasta course which we had requested without the seafood sauce, the maitre d even came back and discussed it with us.then announced when serving that the chef paid no attention to our request, which spoilt this part of the meal.
The salt encrusted fish had to be sent back as it was underdone when brought out but was delicious upon its return. The dessert a melon tart tatin was very good.
There is an extensive wine list which offers reasonable wines to some outstanding tuscan greats.
Service is of a high standard without being too officious and the owner is very hospitable and deserves the credit for a fine establishment
