We stayed in La Pergola for a week the beginning of October 2008. We had a hard time finding the place. Our travel agent's directions were just poor. Telephone numbers of the hotel we were supposed to pick up our key, didn't exist, or were from an Italian person who didn't speak one word English. Also no signs or road directions were to be found.
After finally finding the hotel where we could pick up the key, we went to our condo in La Pergola. We entered the condo, and it smelled like gas. We complained about this, but the receptionist insisted that there was no gas leak, but they would tell maintenance to check it out the next day. We tried to sleep with all windows opened. I didn't sleep a wink. The place was checked out the next day and low and behold, there *was* a gas leak. No excuses were made!
Sitting outside on the patio, we had a very nice view. Too bad there was an open sewer drain, something common in Italy, but not very nice when you want to use your patio to relax, eat, or enjoy the environment. The smell was just horrible. The condo itself was old, smelly, the bathtub, shower, and toilet were leaking. The shower curtain couldn't be closed properly. Tablewear had plastic handles, the strainer was plastic. All not very new and kind'a sticky. If you touched the extractor, there was a possibility it would fall apart and into your pans. The filter was clean, but the extractor itself was greasy/dirty. It was all too dirty to touch.
Swimmingpool: Looked like it wasn't used in ages.
