We spent 5 days of bliss at the Furore Inn. What a find! I don't really want to write this review as hopefully this place will remain as unspoilt as it is now!
The location is marvellous, with spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast. It is not in a village, which means it is a haven of tranquility from the bustling towns of Positano and the like - so a luxury to return after a day with the throng to a peaceful prosecco on the terrace overlooking the 3 pools and the gorgeous views beyond.
The rooms are not large, but really nicely furnished with a big bed (although our bath could have been a bit bigger) and each room has its own private terrace with flowering pots, complete with deckchairs and brolly overlooking the sea. Heavenly.
On a practical note the hotel has a timetabled shuttle bus service to the nearby towns and sights, however we had hired a car (much against advice from friends) and found this to be a good option - if you are happy driving on tiny bendy roads with italians!! - as it gave us more freedom in the evening when the shuttle service is finished as the taxis are hideously expensive.
The staff at Furore are all absolutely lovely and could not have done more to help make our stay perfect. The two restaurants are very good but it was nice to eat out (De Vincenze's in Positano especially good) as it gave more of a taste of the region.
We had a 'roman circuit' included in our deal with the hotel - the spa is lovely and relaxing - but sadly did not have chance to use the rest of the spa facilities which looked most enticing.
Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a relaxing break in luxury. So sad to be back in blighty!
