“Charming osteria in charming Atrani”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2012

Here we had one of our most memorable and favourite meals in Italy. Osteria da Luisella is completely unassuming in a small piazza tucked away in Atrani. My husband had the spaghetti con vongole e cozze (clams and mussels), a dish he had in some shape or form on a daily basis wherever we went during our week long stay on the Amalfi coast. It my opinion, it was the best. Make sure you stop in Atrani on your way between the 'flashier' towns.

“Went back for more....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

twice! Stayed in Atrani for 6 nights in September and ate here our first night. We enjoyed it so much we went back two more times! Our first night we just picked a restaurant in the square in Atrani at random and the young lady who was our waitress helped us decide what to order. The caprese salad with mozzarella di bufala was divine to start. Our waitress tempted us with her suggestions in a way that we couldn't resist, as we were having one course we were thinking about her suggestion for the next course! Memorable was her suggestion of "chocolate with vegetables," which turned out to be a most delicious Melanzane al cioccolato, make sure you try it if it is on the handwritten menu that changes frequently. Franco was our waiter on another night and he spent time to explain the dishes on the menu and make his own recommendations, which we gladly accepted. We recommend this restaurant to those who would like to try home cooked local Amalfi dishes in an intimate setting on the side of the Piazza Umberto in Atrani.

“one of the best experiences on the amalfi coast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Delicous food (homemade pasta), a welcoming athmosphere, lovely hosts and very friendly service - a true italian experience! Plus prices are very moderate and the menue changes often, so it is definitely worth coming back! Atrani by the way is a lovely little town, much more down to earth than the rest of the towns on the coast, with a pretty little square hidden from the road that you get to study when you eat at Luisellas.

“The Best Experience in Atrani!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

When you walk into this restaurant, you instantly feel like you are sitting at home. The new owners are amazingly sweet and treat you like family. The food is prepared with love and Anna and Pasquelina are truly caring. Antonio and Franco also make the experience fantastic by providing wonderful conversation and background history about Amalfi. Their cannelloni, gnocchi, chicken, desserts, and just everything and anything on the menu are absolutely delicious.

If you want a real Italian meal outside the regular tourist spots in Amalfi, please please please visit Atrani, only 10 minutes on foot from Amalfi. We still think about them daily and can't wait to see them again!

“Lovely little restaurant in homely square”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

We recently stayed in a nearby B&B and had an excellent meal in this small restaurant. There are not many tables so get there early! Superb menu and I cant recommend the orange cake highly enough - yum. Not a big menu but the food and wine are all organic (as they're keen to point out) and the service is excellent. If we had had more time we would have gone back again. Give it a try if you're in Atrani!
