“It was a luxury hotel. Once...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

In all this hotel you can feel chic. Here the chic look of the hotel, great breakfast, private beach with a lift. Everything is very good. But the visitors realize that the peak of its posh hotel has already lived. I wish the hotel and staff to maintain that level as long as possible. The hotel is good point of start for Amalfi coast trip. Or good point of finish.

The furnishings were in need of an update, but it was clean and that is what counts to me. I do think some of the rooms have been updated.
The main problem was our room opened up to cargo ships. View wasn't WOW. Since we were not planning on being in the room during the day we were not to concerned. However, guess when they load those barges...at night. So when we were settling down for a nights sleep the noise would also start. We were on a tour, if we were on our own we would have ask for a room on the side of the sea. The staff was friendly, the location is great. We would walk into Vietri Sup Mare and have dinner on our free nights. The town square is right up the incline and all the locals go there in the evening and visit. Little shops line the street, Mom and Pop grocery stores and pottery shops etc.....I loved Vietri. I would stay at Lloyds again, just not on the cargo ship side.

Room Tip: Make sure you request a room that does not open up to the ship yards.

Its geographical position provides a wonderful view of Salerno. The room was large, well furnished, with two balconies and very comfortable. Free parking and internet conection. Big bathroom. Breakfast was very good. We were treated with hospitality. There are a lot of external spaces to enjoy the sea view.

when we booked this hotel, we didn't know anything about the little town it is in, Vietri del Mare, which was so charming and quaint, we fell in love with it, the girls at the reception were not very friendly and only 1 spoke broken English. Our room was wonderful, spacious and with a great view. the hotel had a wonderful location and the breakfast had tons of choices. We didn't like the fact that there was no pool and in order to use the beach it was 5 euros per person. But, all in all it was a great experience.

I spent a week at Lloyd's Baia while in Italy and my stay herewa sone of the highlights of my trip. The lobby is a bit worn down looking which can be a bit deceiving. We stayed in the Suite Belvedere (I think that's what it's called). Anyways, our room was almost like our own little bungalow. It was separate from the actual physical hotel buildng. Our balcony had incredible panoramic views and the room itself was amazing. The outdoor terrace is also quite lovely, we watched three weddings over one weekend.
