“short visit to a beautiful place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Embedded into the steep coastal mountains of the sorrento peninsula, this place overlooks a great scenery high above the seaside. The panorama is really amazing and can be enjoyed on the terrace where we enjoyed our breakfast. The rooms are clean and equipped with good standard. The owner Cristina and her family were very friendly and hospitable. We were allowed to park our car inside the property which was perfect as parking is quite a problem along the narrow street. All in all, we wish we could have stayed there longer!

We had a very pleasant stay with Teresa and her family. Clean and nice place with good breakfast. We stayed here with our 5 years old son and he was allowed to pick some fresh tomatoes and basilicum in the garden, he loved it.Unfortunately there was no swimmingpool. We had good dinner in the neighbourhood at walking distance. We defenately will come back if we are in the region again. Ciao ciao Teresa from Holland.

Our stay at Le Terrazze di Cristina was made very special by Teresa who looked after us extremely well. It's a good base if you're travelling around the Amalfi coast by car. A highlight of Albori is the fantastic agriturismo restaurant just opposite Le Terrazze di Cristina - don't miss it if you can.

After the stress staying in little noisy hotel in Sorrento and the drive along the Amalficoast we really enjoyed the peace and quiet in this place. As far as B&B are concerned we have been not disappointed. Perhaps the price leavel is to high compared with others. Make sure you have quotation befor you book.

We stayed at this place after seeing all the positive reviews here on tripadvisor. Perhaps our expectations became too high. I am also comparing this experience with other B&B's we visited in the region, and this place does not compare with the nicer ones. Although the house, the view and the terrasses are very nice, the facility has a lot more potential. and you do get this view about evereywhere in this region!
Our room was nothing special and the interior in general was not given huge attention by the owner. Which is fine, but to earn a five-star rating I would expect to be delighted when i step into the room. The shower was teeny tiny, perhaps not representing the other rooms, but basically the little toilet and bathroom was the shower cabin.
We had also read that the breakfast would be very nice. Although beautiful sitting on the terrace, the content was nothing special at all. The brioches and the coffee was fresh... But juice and marmalade and other things were just ready made packages.
The place is worth staying at if the agriturismo is not fully booked - that little agriturismo, 5 min walk away, is a treasure and I am looking forward to returning (amazing food, for no money and with a beautiful view and setting!) the little village of Albori is also worth a visit, although very small, so won't take long to visit.
Lastly, the lady kept insisting that we write a review, which was quite disturbing and eventually also contributed to a more negative over all impression.

Albori is a very characteristic little town perched almost on top of the mountains backing the costiera, and itself def worth a quick stroll through the narrow lanes.
The drive up from Vietri is very colorful and an experience in itself - enjoyable for good drivers and interesting since it enables a peek into the life of the village below.
To the B&B: The position is very panoramic, and surely worth mentioning. Also, the house is huge and very nice, with several terraces.
There are two / three parking possibilities inside the courtyard, which is nice. I believe a bus stop is nearby, too.
As it was almost fully booked we were given a small room on two levels, with a very small bathroom (this was correctly mentioned when booking on the phone by Teresa!). The room was nicely furnished and was rather spacious, but the two-level arrangement, with the top being on level with a terrace isn't practical: other guests passing by would be able to look into the room, so the blinds typically remain closed. The lower room, while again looking good with the bare rock the house is built on in clear evidence, isn't practical: the shower is in the corner of the small bathroom, which doesn't make sense. There would be enough space for a nice shower box outside the bathroom.
We were said (Teresa insisted on us visiting them to ensure we got the full picture for a review) that the other rooms were nice, and given the immense house I believe it.
Wireless Internet is present in the facility, but the signal in the small room was basically absent due to the historic very thick walls. We informed the owner, and she will do something about it hopefully - another repeater would do.
Breakfast was served in a lovely position on the terrace, but I wouldn't say it was great like other reviewers did. I'm Italian and used to small and packaged breakfasts, and this was one of them: except for fresh buns, the jams etc were out of the box. This can also be improved.
Finally, Teresa: very nice and welcoming, very southern italian style, talks a lot! :) She's ready to help with advice, booking restaurants, etc.. Two little flaws: the room not being prepared and a little inflexibility on check in before 18:30 in our case,  (but we arrived earlier than expected so it's understandable!). And the insistence on us writing a review, which we didn't appreciate, though we understand the importance of it, in such a position.
One final note for the Agriturismo located just on the opposite side of the little valley: it's GREAT food for a very fair price, and a very nice ambience on a terrace with views. Dine with local produce and horses, donkeys and goats nearby!

When I stayed at Le Terrazze di Cristina, I felt like family. Situated in a small village with one restaurant and one pub, this B&B provides service like no other. Teresa, the manager and daughter of the family business, was kind enough to pick me up from the train station in Salerno and then take me back again when it was time to leave. The B&B is in Albori, a hill-top village overlooking the green mountains and the blue sea. From about 300 meters elevation, I believe. It is possible to walk down the road into Vietri Sul Mare, and on the way you will pass another charming village called Raito. One day, I took the thousands of steps down the hillside to the beach in Vietri. It was an experience to remember. Every turn provided a new scenic photo opportunity. Colorful houses, crumbling stone walls, and the bright blue sea were set against the beautiful green hills. It’s not only the scenery that is desirable here. The people in this region are kind, and even strangers go out of their way to make you feel at home. Although this B&B is a little bit far from Vietri proper, you will enjoy the wonderful views and warm hospitality.
The room was immaculate and looked to have all new furniture including a bed, wardrobe, dresser, and nightstands. I had my own private bathroom with a shower/tub. Everything was very comfortable. Linens are provided. The room was bright and colorful, and had a nice view of the hills even though it was a lower apartment. This B&B is called “Terrazze” for a reason: there are many decks on which you can relax, read a book, sunbathe, or enjoy the garden. My favorite spot was eating breakfast in the flower garden which had a hanging trellis of bougainvillea overhead. Teresa accommodates what you like for breakfast. I asked for yogurt and fruit and croissant, and it was provided bountifully. Another guest who was gluten-intolerant told me that Teresa went out of her way to find gluten-free breakfast items. The coffee is perfect—true Italian coffee. All breakfast items are served on local ceramic, for which Vietri is famous. The atmosphere, good food, and colorful presentation make you want to sit at breakfast for hours!
Because this B&B is situated outside of the city, there are many farm animals nearby. There is actually an agriturismo right across the street that I visited, where I had the best meal of my life (they make all of their meals from the produce grown on the farm, including their own homemade wine and homemade pasta!) Because of this, you’ll hear roosters, donkeys, and other animals as it is part of nature. Bring some earplugs like I did and you should be fine. The other eatery in Albori is the Bruschetteria Albori. I enjoyed a few afternoons on the patio sipping local wine or limoncello, gazing and the vibrant green hills in front of me.
Some recommendations: I’d suggest renting a motorscooter like a Vespa for your stay. Although I did not, and I was able to get around by foot and by public bus, it was not always easy. If you have a scooter, you can navigate the narrow winding streets and hills with ease, visit nearby Vietri Sul Mare, Salerno, Amalfi, Positano, etc. Why should you stay at Le Terrazze di Christina? They go out of their way to make you feel special and like you are a part of their family. I’ll definitely visit again, someday!
