We booked this hotel as a fairly last minute getaway. got 7 nights all inclusive, for 2 for £650 (including flights and transfers).
Staff - We had an absolutely fantastic time here. ALL of the staff were so nice to us. All incredibly friendly and helpful, but not to the point of over imposing themselves on you. We personally had no experience of any of the staff "grunting" at us or pretending not to understand what we were saying. in fact it was quite the opposite where even the staff with little or no English where prepared to try really hard to just have a simple conversation with us.
Hotel - As for the hotel, we stayed in room 110 on the ground floor (with a pool view). the room was failrly standard, certainly not the Hilton, but more than adequate. We didn't have to pay to use the air con as a previous poster stated nor did we have any problems with bugs, apart from the odd mosquito, but that was to be expected really. The communal areas of the hotel, such as the pool, the bar, the reception area and the dining room were all spotlessly clean and of a much higher standard than the room we stayed in.
Food and drink - we found the food to be much better than we had anticipated. There was a wide variety to choose from at breakfast, dinner and tea and all were self service, eat as much as you can!. Particularly nice were the pork, the pizza and the desserts (amazing cakes!!). Even on the seafood night (we're not fans of seafood at all) we managed to find enough of the alternatives on offer to enjoy more than a hearty meal. As for the drinks, in the dining room there was a choice of soft drinks (coke, lemonade orange etc), wine or lager (again self service) and at the pool bar there was a selection of cocktails on offer along with wine, lager, the usual spirits, soft drinks or tea and coffee(all served by the very hard working bar staff). in addition to the 3 meals served up there was also 'afternoon tea' (and coffee) accompanied by cake and biscuits.
Location - the hotel is about 10 mins walk from the beach. this is not a "sandy" beach as some websites describe. Local shops / supermarkets (including car rental place) are about 5 - 10 mins walk away. If you're feeling a little more "Bear Grylls" the surrounding mountains are also within 10 mins walk.
All in all a great hotel, with brilliant, friendly, hard working staff all making for a great holiday! Will definitely go back
