“Beautiful pools”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2012 via mobile

Me and my partner stayed here in September and were pleasantly surprised following the bad reviews. It was clean and tidy and the staff did a great job. There was always a great variety of food although the restaurant in the evening was hectic - although what can you expect for a buffet.

I would recommend this hotel to families as it is more geared up to be a family resort. We did have a great time and can't fault the hotel in any way.

We visited this hotel in October 2012 and remember you Victoria and your little boy. We saw each other at Gatwick Airport but met in the pool, I was with my son and husband We had a brilliant holiday. The Hotel was a lovely surprise after some of the negative comments, room clean and spacious with balcony overlooking the pool and sea, better than I expected.

The room was cleaned daily to a good standard. The staff were always helpful and cheerful and out to please considering the end of season. The food was plentiful and not repetitive for us as we enjoyed evey meal and the variety was second to non. Different food themes in the restaurant made it even more interesting. We couldn't fault the food and our son in particular enjoyed every meal going back for more each time.

On the negative side as has been mentioned before the beach was a little disappointing but a lot warmer than the hotel pools, but saying that once you were in the water you were alright. The entertainment in the evenings for the adults was a bit lacking apart from the Greek evening but we still enjoyed our time at the bar and in the lounge.

We hired a car from the Rodos guy in the hotel who couldn't be more helpful and gave us a good deal for the 3 days we had the car, The car was brand new and air-conditioned and we drove to Rhodes the old and new town, lovely place full of history and interesting places to see. Second day went to the lovely little town and beach of Lindos and then on to the penninsular and the third day travelled through the beautiful mountains to fantastic little villages with wonderful views from the top of the mountains. I think we managed to travel nearly all the way round the island in the three days we had the car. You could order a packed lunch to take with you the evening before and picked them up at breakfast time before we went out for the day.

The aqua park was good and we enjoyed our time spent there.

We asked if we could borrow a room to shower and change on the last day but left it a bit late and had to use the gym which was locked which was no problem as we were given the key but then people thought that they could come in an use it while we were there. Luckily we could shut the door and had some privacy so that was ok.

On the whole we had a really good time and wouldn't hesitate to go back and would recommend this hotel to any family, fantastic value for money

Room Tip: We were on the second floor of the main hotel overlooking the pools and the sea. I e-mailed before...

For the last two two years we have stayed in the First Choice holiday village's in Turkey and Egypt. Both hotels were perfect for families with constant activities everywhere. We saw this cheaper option and decided to go with it. To sum it up it was Thompson's version of a holiday village. You will enjoy it if you are a first time holiday village style traveller but if you've done the First Choice ones expect to be disappointed. The shows are mediocre but so bad they are enjoyable, kids club does one session for two hours a day, food was ok and there were hardly any family activities during the day. I hear other rooms are good but we got the short straw with some bungaloo style room which was infested with ants!

Despite this the Water park is amazing with some good rides and hardly any queue's, the pool although freezing was excellent(Lagoon styled) The beach is relaxing with some really good water sports for families and adults for a very reasonable price! So it seemed we just had bad luck but i'm sure first time holiday villagers will really enjoy it!

Room Tip: Don't choose a ground room unless necessary!

Ask for your room not to be basement ours was and we had no view except for grass mound on having said that although room was very dark it was very comfortable with excellent comfy beds. To have children staying with you the rooms are separated with door dividers and is excellent for families. Don't know if it was because of month we went but entertainment was well finished by 10.30 at night so not much else happening after this except to sit and drink which was fine for older couples and young families needing quiet for their children. On the whole a lovely place to stay with friendly staff. The two bar men who serve sparkling wine were friendly and the left hand side man served better wine than his friend did.... You know who you are!!!!! I said I would put you on trip advisor. Thanks for great time . No coffee and tea in rooms fridge with water and coke. You were not allowed to take drinks back to rooms???? Then why have a balcony to sit on???? And drinks were only free until midnight on all inclusive.

Visited here back at the end August and had a great family holiday. Hotel fantastically clean and plenty of choice in food. Sunbeds by the pool are available but beware it can be busy at times to find one. Waterpark is fantastic spent most of our days here and deck chairs are easy to get. We found the park area quiet so cues are 2 mins if that. My four year old loved this area and asked to go everyday, it kept her happy for hours, beware though the pool bar in not part of the all inclusive but a short walk to the next bar is not hard to do and bring drinks and ice-creams back.
My daughter also loved the kids drop off club which is right by the Waterpark and always came out with paintings. Overall we had a fantastic holiday, second trip to Rhodes and we love it, if you can hire a car and drive to Rhodes town, it's beautiful rodos car hire are great to deal with and you can hire from them in hotel reception. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Family room had sliding doors so kept the children separate.

we travelled to this hotel in October 2012 and we had a great time , the weather was mostly good to us ( 2 rainy days so we hit the cocktails) the kids club was good , and it was a godsend when the rain came , the english kids club girls were all fine but the guy looked like he hated kids lol and i told him so after a few cocktails lol but he seemed ok

the pool is massive with a great big shallow round pool at the end which was brilliant for my 5 year old , as with other reviews the pool was freezing , i think the sea was warmer

the food was ok 10 days was enough for me and there was plenty to choose from , the staff tried very hard and it was kept clean and tidy nice choice of salads too, the resturant was a bit like school dinners and i am sorry to say but the german people was extremely rude and never once did i hear a please or thank you from them and they pushed in , a couple of the kids got the sharp end of my temper ,

the room was a lovely size and the bed was wonderful , the room was kept spotless by our lovely room maid lady and all the staff are a real credit to this hotel.

on the whole this was a lovely holiday , and i would go back to this hotel , but with so many other beautiful countries to visit why would We

Visited the Club Atlantica Aegean Blue for a late week of sunshine. That didn't go completely to plan as we had a couple of days of rain but other than that, the holiday was fantastic. The rooms are extremely clean as is the whole hotel. The grounds are beautiful and a joy to walk around. Getting a bed around the pool is easier than most hotels, mainly due to the sheer quantity of them! A word of warning about the pool, although lovely and clean it was absolutely FREEZING in October. The sea was much, much warmer!
All the staff are fantasticly friendly, especially the pool bar staff. A special shout out to Ceva who was an absolute star (I wanted to bring her home but the wife wouldn't let me! :). The entertainment staff are also very good with the evening shows a cut above what is normal for this type of hotel.
We went on the bus to Lindos one day (3.5 Euros each and picked up right outside the hotel) and found it well worth a visit. A real picture postcard Greek town.
I guess the only thing you could say against the hotel is that the beach really isn't very nice. It's extremely shingley and not very clean to be honest.
Would not think twice about visiting again, next time for two weeks and maybe a bit earlier in the season!

Room Tip: I would say the rooms in the main building facing the pool would be the nicest.
