My family and I stayed at the holiday Village Rhodes from the 19th May - 26th May 2012. Our son is 5 (his first holiday abroad). We arrived at about 21:45 and were greated by the excellent hotel staff. They spoke excellent english and we had champagne and orange juice served to us whilst checking in. This was fab! Our room upon first impressions was just what we had expected. (Deluxe swim up, Jacuzzi room). The next day we quickly worked out that the Jacuzzi did not work. Two days later, after three trips to the hotel reception, and two discussions with our rep, the Jacuzzi sprang to life. Yey! BUT we were unable to turn it on or off ourselves. The controls did not work to enable us to control heat, oscillation, water jets, and the light. Upon a telephone call to reception it turned out that the Jacuzzi would turn on and indeed off at various times throughout the day. So we were unable to use it as and when we wanted to! (This has been taken up with Thomson as a separate issue). The food at the hotel was absolutely brilliant. Very child friendly, and the service from the staff was faultless. High fives all round!! My son's never done so much high fiving!! Overall, an excellent family holiday but shop around and get as good a deal as you can, as booking on line isnt always the best bargain.
Lots of fun in the pools and evening shows. Good daytime entertainment for the kids also. Smithy is hilarious. I would recommend this holiday to others.
