This was our first stop while visiting Rhodes. It is housed in the monumental structure that was the hospital of the Knights of St. John. Construction was started in 1440 and completed around the time of Grand Master d'Aubusson (1476-1503). It's a great museum and well worth the time there. I believe it was around 6 euros to get in. Read the pamphlet they give you as you enter, it will tell you a lot about the building and some of the exhibits. It's just amazing what they could build in that era. The pottery is fun to look at, my husband had a good laugh at some of the "subject matter". It has a large nice restroom with some vending machines at the entrance. We came here first, but it would also be good in the afternoon after shopping, with it's cooler temperatures and slower pace.
