“City Center Hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

I stayed here for 6 nights in October 2013, and found it an excellent place to stay. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and spacious, and are good value for money. The buffet breakfast is also good and provides value for money. The new and old towns are also close by along with the harbour in which to get ferries to other islands. I will definatly be visiting here again.

I really like this hotel and the staff there.
I stayed here 3 times this year (May, June and July) and can't say nothing bad about it.
Location is really perfect-close to both seas, near Old Rhodes, good variety of restaurants and bars....
The rooms are really nice for 3* (i stayed more than 10 times in other hotels in Rhodes center). You will have everything you need, comfortable beds, good cleaning and the wi-fi works really good even on the high floor.
Breakfast is ok, small choise, but everything is fresh. Nice way to start your long day on Rhodes.
This hotel is really perfect if you compare price and quality. Just i want to say-if you choose hotel in Rhodes center - you need to understand, it's place to sleep, take a shower... Rhodes is too great to loose time in the room... If you are going to stay in the hotel-find other hotels with all inclusive system etc.
Whant to say thanks to all staff, especially nice ladies from reception for their politeness and support during my vacations. See you all next summer!

Room Tip: take superior room

This hotel’s location is ideal for exploring Rhodes Town. There was plenty of food for breakfast, which was an American style of breakfast, it was ok and set you up for the day.

Booked this hotel for two nights, did not ask to be moved as it was only a bed and somewhere to leave our clothes that we was after. When booking this hotel I realised that it would not be the Ritz, but after looking at the hotels web site I expected something of a reasonable standard. On first impressions it looked nice and then we reached our room. Basic is an understatement, have a look at the hotels web site and then look at the room we was given. The view from the balcony was something else but then this was not this hotel’s fault, but the balcony was a bit dodgy.
Mind your fingers in the lift, there is nothing to stop you trapping them as the lift operates.

Spent three nights from September 4 to 7... For those looking for excellent location, a very friendly staff and a good breakfast, this is the place. Me and my wife didn't spend too much time at the hotel, but we never had any problems or complaints with anything. Not too fancy, obviously, but there's a nice view to the Casino (at least from our room) and the busy streets. For a three-star, I think it gives you more than its rating suggests.

Room Tip: I think the view towards the Casino and not the hotel's street is better.

I didn't like this hotel. reading other customers review, I was expecting something more. we staid two nights. The bathroom was horrible, no maintenance at all, the lines between the tiles were black of dirt. Corners of the floor never washed. there is a courtyard where it is possible to have breakfast, but they don't even clean it so it looks dull. Also the comments in the book at the reception were terrible. I wonder if there are two kinds of room, in this case we staid in the bad ones...
Nothing to say about the people working at the reception, they do their job.

positive aspects:
-location-15min walk to old town, less than 150m from the public beach,15min walk to the main buss station in mandraki port, right on the street with the international shops, acces to two seas in less than 15 min,12km from airport, oposite to the rhodos casino.
-american breakfast boufet(same in all days) but very good and fresh
-good wi fi link
-hot water /clean towels and bedsheets(every day changed)
-ac &fridge included

negative aspects:
-expensive restaurant
-old and ugly elevator
-the superior rooms are in fact normal rooms for a 3 star hotel(very basic furniture and design; only 1 room per level has a renovated bathroom-they have a dated rusty bath;the tile in the room is cracked and dated, the mirror in the bath is rusted)
-the bath has no ventilation it has only an air hole on the ceiling,the doors are very dirty and never cleaned;
-the balcony exteriour paint whas cracked and the table and seats were also very used!
remember we were talking about a renovated room...
*ALL RENOVATED ROOMS ARE IN THE FRONT,AND ARE BIGGER THEN THE STANDARD ONES THAT ARE IN THE SIDES OR IN THE BACK
*THE ONLY ROOM WITH SEA VIEW IS IN THE 5TH FLOOR FACEING THE CASINO(IN THE 5 TH FLOOR THERE ARE 2 ROOMS,WITH HUGE TERRACE THAT IS SHARED;THE OTHER ROOM IS FACED TO THE BACK WITH AN UGLY VIEW. BOATH ROOMS ARE RENOVATED!
-IN THE BACK OF THE HOTEL THERE IS AN ABANDONED HOTEL(standard rooms have view there also)
-the back garden isn't clean, old dated seats and dirty seats and tables, and full with cats.

IN ONE WORD IF IT WASN'T FOR THE EXCELENT LOCATION OF THIS HOTEL,I COULD GIVE IT AN 6.50-7 ON A SCALE FROM 1 TO 10.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DECENT HOTEL VERY GOOD LOCATED ,AND WITH A FAIR VALUE FOR MONEY THEN THIS IS IT!

Room Tip: -Superiour room in the front upper level - Ask to see the room before takeing it -Once you see the...
