“Other reviews are way off”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2014

Usually I rely heavily on TripAdvisor reviews, but in this case the other reviews seem shockingly unfair and totally off-base. As a solo traveler I walked into the hotel in the evening looking for a room because it looked nice and had a superb location. Staff (owner?) was very friendly. Booked me a room using a credit card without a problem. Excellent value for the price. The location is awesome, right in the center of everything. My room had a balcony overlooking the street with it's own chair/table which was nice. The room was spacious, fridge, tv, hot shower. There's breakfast too but I skipped it to sleep in. I even left my backpack there during the next day and it was totally safe. I really can't say anything negative about the place. It is not a 5-star resort like many others in the area, but it's also not priced like one and doesn't claim to be one. I checked out a couple other places charging the same price in the area, and this is SIGNIFICANTLY safer/cleaner/better. I think if you're looking for a solid place to stay in a good location, then don't let the other reviewers cloud your decision. If you need bells and whistles, there are lots of (appropriately) higher-priced options in the area. Happy trails!

Room Tip: I got one with a balcony, which was large and nice. There's obviously some noise from the stree...

Only good thing about this hotel is the location, in the centre of new part of Rhodes town and just a few minutes walking from a bus station; the old town Rhodes is on walking distance (15 minutes). I am not very demanding tourist and I have hardly ever complained about the hotels, but this was below standard even for 2 stars hotel. The rooms are very small, with old shabby furniture and bathroom that needs renovation. The sheets and towels are grey, old and covered with stains. The maids, however, did their job correctly, cleaning the room every day and changing the sheets and towels every two days. They put the photos of renovated rooms on the net, but we got an old one; when we complained and asked to change the room, the menager told us that all the rooms are the same. The breakfast was unvaried and poor, only one kind of ham and cheese, cereals, butter and jam; the milk I tried to mix with cereals was spoilt more than once, which was shocking! Aircondition was 5 euro per day, same as the wi-fi in the room (free wi-fi is avalilable in the lobby). The receptionist was unpleasant and always talking on the phone. Another problem were the mosquitos from the yard, we barely slept few nights, especially when it was warm and without the wind. The view from the room was on abandoned construction site. Anyway, the Rhodes is a fantastic island and Rhodes town one of the most beautiful location for spending a holiday, so do not spoil your vacation by booking this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated room, with the view on the street.

Only good of this hotel was the location. Tha room was not renovaited as in the pictuers on web, with old furniture, very, very small, with lot of moschitos. The food was the same every day, very poor, but fresh. Wf was free only in cafe. Aircondition was 5 eur per day, the same as wf in the room.

In spite of everything I write below, Rhodes is one of the most beautiful islands of Greece that I've visited (and I visited a lot of them).
Where to start ... The first contact that we have made was with the receptionist who gave us the room key with a note that we have received "extra large room". On the way to the room we went with the elevator where two thinner people could enter and just one suitcase. So, we needed to split since for the second one there was no chance. Another problem we had with a suitcases was at the entrance to the room - we had to put them on the bed (which is 10 cm from the front door), because any other way we could not get into the room. The room itself I will not comment because it is below any standards and expectations, in any way you can imagine. Some visitors photos say the best. We didn't have any air-conditioning in the room and the terrace door had to be opened (the view was at the "back yard" if you can call it like that) .... The good thing is that we were on the good way to get to know the neighborhood - on the ground bunch of drunken teenagers who look like they are for the first time feeling the freedom of doing everything that could cross their minds. One of the gay was so drunk that he was talking with the chair and offering to " her" and special moments. Every night they were making noise late into the night, despite the warnings of the hotel management and touristic police. On the other side you could clearly hear a couple making love (like they are just next to you). They were full of passion :), and so on... Some additions - one of the beds was broken, torn and stained bed sheets, blankets smelled strangely, no door could close properly, the window in the bathroom we sealed with the tape, wardrobe broken ... and all of that in 10m2. The total horror.
The only thing that was good with this hotel was the location. In the very center of everything.
Despite everything, I spent a good on the island. It offers so much for everyone and every type of vacation. For the island - all the recommendations, but the hotel - I'm sorry no single one.

We found the hotel by accident while rambling through Rhodes at night in search of hotel. Finding it is easy as it is in the very heart of the city. 5 minutes walk fromthe coast. 2 minutes walk from bus stop. Free wi fi in lobby + possibity to stay in room a bit longer while waiting for plane made for an enjoyable stay :)

Modest hotel in a very center of the Rhodos town. Our room was with a balcony, view to the courtyard, nice and quiet. Good room service. Excellent location - close to the sea, old town, shopping centres, restaurants. Nice breakfast. Friendly owner.
