We stayed in the belair beach hotel in ixia rhodes for the weekend, First of all the pool is very poorly designed and most of the day it is in the shade (with less than 2 hours in the sun every day) which makes it too cold to enjoy swimming except maybe in the summer. The AC was Less than decent barely cooling the room (luckily the temperature was OK at the time). The food was nice but got boring after the first two days. in The last day we left some food on the table and the whole room filled with ants. During our stay i got bitten more than a couple of time by unknown insects But it didn't look like a mosquito bite so beware. If even after you read this review you decide to take this hotel Make sure not to rent any cars from the Top's car rental located inside the hotel, Their cars just break down and are very poorly treated. We got stuck after less than 50 KM of driving (going to Lindos) and the same weekend we saw 2 more cars from the same car waiting for a replacement vehicle after the car they rented from tops broke down. to make bad things worse the owner of the rental agency declined to compensate us for our lost time (2.5 hours waiting for a car) and even demanded that we return the car exactly on time or he will charge us for another day.

I have just returned from two weeks in Ixia staying @ the Bel Air Hotel HB. The weather was loverly really hot but with a nice breeze. The hotel room was very clean / air con was brilliant too and the maids service was every day. The food was ok, i was able to eat it but i think it maybe more difficult if you have kids.....there were some dishes that I has never seen or heard of before..!!!

Loved the swimming pool as its deepest it was over 3 metres but like i say not suitable for children - there was a very small childrens pool but it wasnt very good as it was located near the deap end of the pool.

Taxis were cheap 5 euros each way to get to Rhodes Town and 15 euros each way to Falaraki. These were set prices so you couldnt be over charged !!

The entertainment wasnt very good in the hotel, but as the resort i found was very cosmopolitan they couldnt please all.

Overall I loved Rhodes and i will be goin back....i would say
this is a 2+ - 3 rated hotel - Only disappointment was being delayed goin out and coming back by 2 hours - nightmare !!

just returned from a weeks stay at the belair. The weather was a bit crap at first, but improved as the week progessed. It didn't help that there was a heatwave back home.

The hotel could benefit from an update, but was very clean . the room was comfortable, with a good view of the sea. The food was standard fare for a buffet.

The location was marvellous. Bus stop just outside with buses running every 15 mins to Rhodes. had a fab time at Lindos.

Hotel pool was freezing but we swam anyway.

Staff were lovely - the receptionist even charged my mobile phone for me. I would happily have stayed another week

marvellous value

The stay at the hotel was ok! A comfortable place, well situated, busy area with plenty opportunities for entertainment.

The best experience in our holidays were excursions to Symi island, Marmaris and Island tour! We booked our trips at Manos going agency - 10 steps from the hotel. Cosy and fantastic service. We started and finished our days with smiles. Manos and Gunta gave our holidays a real boost! These guys are real professionals! We will definately come back!!!

Extremely disappointing experience. We had no idea we would be so far from Rhodes - which isn't a huge problem, but given the other difficulties, it was like the icing on a toxic cake. The food was terrible - not worth heading back to the hotel for at night. We were told the air conditioning was turned off in September so the room was very hot. We tried opening the doors, but the mosquitos and who knows what else was biting made it impossible to have any relief from the stifling heat. After my 2 night say I had 27 (painful, swollen and itchy) bites just on my arms!!! The first night we stayed we did not recieve a top sheet so had to either use a heavy blanket and endure the sweltering heat, or have no covering and be attacked by bugs all night. The beds were very hard (but this seemed to be the case in almost every hotel we stayed in), so sleep was virtually impossible here.

  • Liked — Can't think of anything
  • Disliked — The many, many bug bites!
