“GREAT STAY AT THE BELAIR”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

Having just returned from the Belair on the 5 May I'd like to say what a great holiday we had .Firstly to all the staff , you were all so friendly and couldnt do enough for us. On booking with lowcostholidays we put in a request for a seaview and on arrival at belair they very kindly gave us room 306 , right on the front. The room was lovely and spotless. The beds and pillows were very comfy .Bathroom was great ,it even had a hair dryer in it and the shower over the bath was really powerful. The fridge was an added bonus , nice sized balcony. If I was being really picky , there was only 1 plug socket in the room. There was a tv but never put it on as we were on holiday..who goes on holiday to watch tv in 30 degrees ? The food was very nice, something for everyone (if anybody moans about the food .Remember , were not in england , enjoy the greek food ,if you dont then greece aint for you , the problem with alot of the brits , they go to a different country and expect english food.,go and sample their food and dont moan.moving on , the pool area was lovely. .pool bar great and lovely staff...I think if us brits learned to say thank you /hello and a few other words in greece then you mite get a better response .the staff are human beings and are working long hours in hot tempertaures with some very awkward customers..weve seen ignorant customers and nice customers , there is no need to be rude..George the manager in the restaurant was always there to greet us as was the other staff ..food was very nice and mouth watering deserts .there is a private beach ..it ok .not the best of beaches as its very pebbly. .We did eat out 1 nite just for a change in ixia, a resturant called coconut..10euros for a 4 course meal , very filling and beautiful. .going back to belair ..overall we had a gret time and so much enjoyed our stay ..thanks to all the friendly staff for making our holiday great..ps thanks for letting us keep our room for longer than the normal 12pm ..yamas to all the staff and thanks for a fab holiday x linda and mark

This hotel had a very good maid service and our room was very clean. Staff at this hotel were all superb. George the restaurant manager could not have been more helpful. He made every guest feel welcome. I do however feel that the food choices could have been larger Most food in the buffet was kept tepid at most. But George fixed hot meals for me and my partner. You dont get if you dont ask...... ALL INCLUSIVE: !!!!!! could only drink spirits between the hours of 6pm to 11pm. The only other time you could drink was at the pool bar and only wine and beer. (This was not allowed to be taken to the small Belair private beach) Be warned 8 euros a day for sun loungers on the hotels private beach. SNACKS!!!!!! Virtually none existent, very poor on the snack side. Only 2 desserts each evening to choose from and ice cream. The chefs cakes were wonderful though... The hotel had no entertainment what so ever and is located on a very busy road opposite the beach. All this said, we had as great holiday here and spent some time in the Old Town on a day trip to Symi. Thankyou to all staff that looked after us. Oh, one other thing, wifi is far too expensive at this hotel.read less

IMay 1st to 21st.
I was a little worried about the reviews, but I certainly had the last laugh, it was great.
My husband was taken ill our second week and was in hospital for two weeks, I was able to stay in the hotel and was treat with the greatest of respect by the manager and all his staff, they was nothing they would not do,kind and caring just what was needed under the circumstances.Food was great, I enjoyed every meal, meat was succulent and not covered in grease or herbs, the best meat I have had on All Inclusive.
All the guests in the hotel were very friendly as the staff welcomed everyone with the same.
We plan to return in September, all being well, just to thank the Manager and his staff for all they did for me when my husband was I'll, and also enjoy another week in the Hotel

The hotel is well located but the sea water (Eagean sea) was too cold in May. The staff was very friendly and cooperative, the food was okay but the dinner was better than the lunch and there was no fruit in the breakfast. The beds are not very relaxing but the view in the balcony was nice.

The Belair Beach is a dated hotel but very clean, The staff are very good and are the saving grace of the hotel. The hotel is advertised as a beach hotel, a word of warning the road between the hotel and beach is the main road to Rhodes town and is very busy day and night, The hotel have their own piece of beach mainly pebble but charge 4 euro per day per sunbed. I was told by the poolbar staff, which is the only place to get a drink daytime, it is FORBIDDEN (the actual words) to take an all inclusive drink to thier beach, even though you have paid for the use of thier beds, you can only drink at the pool which is enclosed and you can only reach the outside through the foyer, the bar only opens from 6pm till 11pm. Ice cream are only for children from the pool bar (all inclusive ? )
The pool being an enclosed area is limited to the amount of sun, While we were there in sep/oct there was about 6 hrs of sun if you moved around the pool as time passed.
The meals are very repetitive and not a lot of choice and only warm at best ( yes we ate out a lot )
if you need to charge any electrical equipment eg: phones computers etc there is only one socket you can use, this is located as you enter the room at chest hight and unless you have a long chord there is nowhere to place the item.
At meal time if you want to have a beer with your meal the biggest glass available is a wine glass, but they did not have many and if you were not one of the first twenty, You had to use a small ( I mean small ) tumbler.
The Wi-Fi is very expensive if you want it for the week its 50 euros.
Ixia is a one road town and the pavements are in very poor repair, If you have small children who use a pushchair or wheel chair, you will have difficulty I would not recommend this hotel or Ixia

Room Tip: Most rooms overlook the sea, the hotel is shaped like a T if you have a room on the main corridor an...

Dear Madam / Sir

We deeply appreciate your comments about your stay and we are sorry for your concerns about the food & beverage offer that we have at the hotel.

We are also sorry since in a seven days stay in our hotel never mentioned anything to me or any other about your experience in order to solve the issues ( according your comments ) on the spot .

Please also note that in Belair Beach hotel we always try to justify our quality .We will surely use your comments to avoid any future unhappy guests.

Specially this year In order to have the feed back I had personal contact , on a in weekly bases with all the tour operators reps .

I would like to point out that all Tour operators representatives from 22 travel agencies ,three or four times already experienced our food service and quality and know the quality we provide to our clients .!

Finally concerning the claim relative to the bar staff unprofessional attitude we are really surprise since always we receive very good commence

( IN MY POSITION THANK YOU LETTERS FROM CLIENTS WHICH STAY THE SAME PERIOD YOUR STAY IN OUR HOTEL !!!!!)

Kind regards

Me and two friends went to this hotel in the middle of May this year. Our room was very nice and I was pleasured to stay there. Good service and clean room. Very friendly and kind staff who helped us when we need help. The staff in the dining room was fun and social, that was a big plus! The food was also good. The only minus I can think of, must be the alcohol. It wasn't any tasy at all, which wasn't fun because of the All Inclusive we'd pay for. The hotel was 3 km from the barstreets and it went buses and taxis all the time, just outside the hotel.
