“A charming experience in Rhodes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2011

So much has been written about this lovely place but I will add one more. We have never stayed in a place which ticked all the boxes. The historic hotel is so central and stylishly presented. It is spotless inside and out. But it is the warm welcome from Mara and Francesco which makes the hotel so special. They are so welcoming and helpful with recommendations and good advice. The lovely breakfast served in the charming courtyard was the icing on the cake.

We have just spent a week in Rhodes Old Town, staying at Hotel Attiki. All the positive things written by previous reviewers are true. It was a great pleasure to meet Mara and Francesco and their cats and have breakfast in their lovely roof garden each morning. We particularly appreciated Mara's recommendations relating to places to eat. There are so many restaurants and cafes and not all of them are worth visiting!

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Hotel Attiki in early April 2011. I made the reservation after seeing the high ratings on Trip Advisor and after a couple of emails with Mara. The charming hotel is located in the heart of the old town in a quiet area. It was easy to find with Mara's instructions. Location is outstanding, only 5-10 minute walk from the ferry dock and just seconds away from the main streets and restaurants. The rooms and beds are small (this is Europe remember) but they are very clean and everything works. The outdoor breakfast was very filling and we could skip lunch. The best part of the stay were the owners, Mara and Francesco (and their nice cats) who made us feel at home. When I come back to Rhodes I will definitely stay here.

I knew we were in for a great stay when Mara met our taxi on the "Avenue of Knights", greeted us and hauled two of our heavier bags over the cobblestone road to her wonderful B&B located within the walled city. While her husband Fredinand was constantly maintaining this beutiful old stone building (sparkling clean, freshly painted, etc) Mara insured that she exceeded our expectations as our host. Her organic breakfast was wonderful as were all of her suggestions and help in making local arrangements. Free bikes to explore the moat trail, lovely garden terrace with lemon trees and flowers and sincere hosptiality made this a memorable stay and hard to say goodbye.

What a great place to stay in Rhodos. Charming guesthouse in the old town, very well located with cozy rooms. The two owners are extremely welcoming and very helpful for your time in Rhodos. The small courtyard where breakfast is served is just so pleasant and quiet you could stay there for hours.

A must if you re looking for a place with a real soul!!

Right in the middle of beautiful Rhodes old town. Cute little house tucked away behind tourist shops. Quiet rooms and terrace, good breakfast (Mara tried different things each day, most of which went down well with family!)
Unbelievably helpful hosts - interested in what we wanted and always had great recommendations. We borrowed their push bikes and had a great time scooting around the old town round the fascinating back-alleys or riding them up to the Greek temple on top of the hill or cruising along the waterfront of the port, looking for a place to stop for coffee.

I stayed in Hotel Attiki during the 1st week of September. The city is crowded of tourists, but inside the hotel the ambiance was very calm and peaceful. The hotel is extremely clean. with everything that is necessary for a pleasant stay. The rooms are very nice, all of them personalized with distinct touches.
Breakfast is very good and varied served in the terrace by the wonderful couple, Mara and Francesco, the owners of the hotel. I could not ask for better hosts, they answer to every question helpfully, suggesting restaurants, places to visit, everything. The terrace is absolutely wonderful, peaceful. It is a pleasant place to relax in after a day of sightseeing. I did spend a whole day there reading in the company of cats, under the shadow of some trees.
I really fell in love with this hotel and with Mara and Francesco.I can't imagine a better place to stay in Rhodes. For sure I will be returning one day!
