I stayed with my parter in K Boutique hotel for a week. The original plan was to stay in a different hotel in the same area. However, we were completely let down by the low quality of service as well as the worn-out rooms of the other hotel, so we had to contact our travel agent who recommended K hotel for us. It was really a breath of fresh air! The hotel was renovated only a year ago and our room was probably the nicest hotel room we've ever stayed at. Not to mention cleanliness, high quality of service, and although a bit pricey, it totaly worths its money. All staff were very friendly and professional, and made us feel more than welcome. Rhodes is a beautiful island, and the staff made sure that we discover this beauty by giving us all the information needed. We 100% recommend this hotel, as a matter of fact we are coming back next year!

We spent 4 nights in this hotel and were extremely disappointed as it was very expensive. There were more staff than guests! The staff were very uninformed about the local area and seemed preoccupied in hassling us to hire a car.

The pool was not clean enough even though there were only two people using it most of the time - us. The bar at the pool didn't serve any low calorie drinks, bacardi or indeed water! We were offered filtered tap water as a replacement on one occasion. The reggae CD was very over played. I felt sorry for the bar staff.

They recommended the pizzeria in Ialissos, when actually there were a lot of other restaurants close to the hotel serving authentic Greek cuisine. We were told the ancient settlement of Ialissos was 30 minutes walk away, when in fact it turned out to be about 7km away, probably more like a 2 hour walk in the heat (35 degrees C).

Breakfast was embarassing because of the lack of guests and the number of staff attending. It's the first time we've been phoned to remind us of breakfast and it was also a first to be offered a boiled egg as a speciality.

This hotel can only be described as an upmarket motor lodge. We were the ONLY guests there and it's not hard to see why now. The promised jacuzzi with the suite (which we paid EU250 for) did not warm up, it took 30 minutes to deliver 2 gin tonics to our room, there is no room service, there are no restaurants, but we were recommended to walk 25 minutes to a great Italian restaurant - in Greece - hmmmm. Then when we began to question the facilities that were advertised on the internet and in the hotel welcome book we were told to ignore these as our reservation online only promised a room with jacuzzi. We were made to feel like we were the problem and the lack of service and level of rudeness was like nothing I have ever experienced. We consider ourselves pretty tolerant people but we felt the need to leave this hotel and demand our money back. After being told we were only there for a free holiday we were give half of our money back! We asked our taxi driver to take us to somewhere nice and ended up at the amazing Paris Hotel right in the old town. What a warm, welcoming family, amazing location, great food and even better facilies.

We stayed in low season, so the hotel was rather empty & quiet. We had a standard room. The hotel is built in a way that rooms on one side face the busy (noisy) street (which was not THAT busy/noisy in low season), and rooms on the other side basically face nothing and have no view (they face the back of other houses). The balcony doors are double-glass though, so noise is somewhat blocked out when the doors are closed.... Choice is either ground level rooms or upper floor rooms. Rooms are spacious, great decor, comfy, modern. Loved the lighting! Pool area is very nice. Outdoor bar area was closed though, as it was low season. Breakfast is good & plentiful. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Cleaning of the room was daily, towel/sheets changed, etc - just basic cleaning though. We were there for a week and not once was the floor swept / vaccumed. If it were high season and I was paying high season rates I would expect top notch cleaning. Value was great for what we paid (under 100 euro), and I would stay there again paying the low season rate. Don't know if it's worth the high season rate... If they want to market this as a "boutique" hotel, they should pay more attention to the details. Amenities in the bathroom were cheap, typical hotel stuff. Amenities should be high-quality bath products like Korres or similar. Parking area is tiny, but this was not a problem in low season. You can't park on the busy street so during high season you'd have to park somewhere on side/back street - I didn't see any close to the hotel. Bus stop is close by so easy to get around via public transport.

We have stayed at the K Boutique hotel for 4 nights!
Our suite was on the ground flour and we had a private pool. It was very nice and romantic especially during the night time when the pool was lighted blue. Some times the noise from the main road near the private garden was a bit disturbing (the garden and the pool are private and are not visible from the main road).
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the reception modern under a delighted combination of red, black and white colours.
The hotel has recently renewed but there are still some more things and details to be done. The breakfast was included and was good.
The place generally is modern and it has a pool bar – café for drinks, salads and easy food. Rhodes town is less than 10 minutes drive from the hotel. There is a hotel parking but is pretty small and when is full you can find, easily I must admit, to park your car in the nearby roads.
This hotel will be for sure one of my hotel options in Rhodes in the future. If you like privacy then is a good choice but if you like crowded places then you have to search sth else.

Hotel has just been updated and renamed. They've also decided to avoid the package tour operators, clearly in an attempt to go down the 'boutique' hotel route. That probably accounts for why the place was completely empty except for a few souls attending a conference nearby. Hotel refurb has been pretty good. A few minor shortcuts on some of the finishing but generally great.

We went for the Superior Suite, the most basic room, which was very good. It had a separate lounge and bedroom, big balcony (although no real view at the back and I wouldn't want a room at the front overlooking the road) and aircon worked well. So very happy with the room. Beds very hard. I personally wouldn't bother with the private pool because you'll be on the ground floor with no view at all. Plus, since there was no-one else in the hotel, we had the whole pool to ourself for most of the time.

Rest of the hotel is very nicely done. Gym looked reasonably well equipped, although we didn't bother using it. Pool was nice, particularly as we mostly had it to ourself. Bar was good, although I was quite surprised that they don't do any food, so you'll need to go out for every meal. Taverna across the road is fine. My guess is that K would start to do food (they have a kitchen at the outside bar) if there were more people there.

Staff were very friendly although still seem to be settling in. We hired a car through the hotel and it seemed to me cheaper than most the firms around. Plus they drop off and pick up at the hotel. One or two minor niggles including having to pay extra for a late check out.

Breakfast was included and very good. Fresh stuff every day even though there didn't seem to be many people around to eat it. On the last day we were informed that we'd have to have breakfast in our room as the restaurant wasn't opening. I'm guessing because there was almost no-one else there, so little point opening breakfast.

Hotel is about 10 mins walk to the beach. Beach isn't great, as with everywhere this side of the island. We did our sunbathing around the pool. Centre of Ialisos is about 10 mins walk too. Left out the hotel and turn right at the crossroads for bars and restaurants. Mesogios restaurant was the best we found.

  • Liked — Comfort and quiet
  • Disliked — It was right next to a busy road - get a room at the back.
