“Quiet pleasant wth thw most friendliest people”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2010

The hotel is just outside the resort of Faliraki. It is quiet yet a stones throw from the town centre. It is a family run hotel who cannot do enough for you. They have opened up their own restaurant within the hotel and the food is excellent and freshly made. There is plenty of room around the pool with its poolside restaurant. The pool is safe for all. We have been going back for over twelve years and will be going again this year.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Venezia, this resort is quite famous. But next time we would choose different place to stay.

Good:
* Incredible view from balcony (only in superior rooms)
* Spacious rooms
* Daily room service
* TV + DVD player
* Mini fridge with freezer (!)
* Big clean pool with bar and free sun loungers
* Rent-a-car, Mini supermarket, DVD rentals,Bar, restaurant and much more.
* Delicious food

Bad:
* Air con is 45 euros per week (payed locally)
* Rooms are poorly decorated
* Instead of double bed we've got two single beds
* Shower is really small
* We had ANTS in our room and bathroom as well (quite disturbing)
* Staff is not so friendly
* Hotel is located on the hill, 15-20 minutes by foot from Faliraki center (not that easy)

We first went to this hotel about 4 years ago and have been back at least once every year since. We have always found the rooms clean and well equipped, the family and staff are always friendly helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. If we have ever had a problem, like the time the kettle stopped working and the time I broke my adapter plug off in the wall, one of the family are there to fix it straight away. The food in the restaurant is very good and the choices are great. The thing we like best is that if we want to socialize the bar is always open with someone there to talk to and some form of entertainment going on, but if we want to have a quiet night in, our room has a great view from the balcony and the peace and quiet is fantastic. We can't wait now for our next holiday when we will meet up again with the family the staff and the many guests that return year after year.

We didn't want to go to Faliraki but due to unforseen circumstances we decided to give it a try. We did not go package and bought flights, hotel and car hire seperately. Flights were with Thomas Cook who were always pleasant although cattle class was a little cramped compared to some other airlines.
On arrival at Rhodes airport we were greeted by the Hire Car man (Galaxy Car Rental the cheapest we could find). He was an excellent point of contact taking us around the vehicle, advising on local roads and places to see. He even gave us directions to the hotel and speed limits/police hotspots (highly recommended car hire agent). We arrived at the hotel some 30mins later where we were greeted by Sam and Maria. Sam was a wind up merchant some could take him the wrong way but a little banter in return brings out his bubbly personality a nicer bloke you couldn't meet. Maria made us feel welcome and always had a smile and a 'Yassoo'. There sons Takis, and Taz went out their way to make us welcome and nothing was to difficult or too much trouble. The hotel was immaculate, pool was pristine, pool side bar excellent (damn good breakfast after a night in Faliraki). Just had to ask at reception and they would order a taxi(7 Euros there and 5Euros back any time of day or night) to go into town or you could walk the 1.0Km down to bar street. The hotel has its own bar and restaurant. The bar was mainly run by Ricky who again was friendly and bent over backwards to help in any eventuality. The bar prices were just as cheap as downtown and had the same selection of beers and cocktails and stayed open all night, coffees and drinks in the bar at sunrise ended every evening at around 7am. Aarron is 22 years old single and a good looking lad for the single ladies to oggle at. When he wasn't doing the gardening he was behind the bar, a lovely young man who even took the time to come out with us and join for drinks in Faliraki's bar and club street(Cheers Aarron). The restaurant was run by Tony, food was good he made an excellent host. Just wanted to mention the cleaners were fantastic and were constantly sweeping the rooms, changing linens and towels, (thanks girls). Have to mention the TV in the room. Sam has a selection of DVD's, (or you can bring your own), But he's set the volumes to 25 which is too low to hear the film over the aircon or fan. When we asked if we could have it turned up Sam told us 'no' but you can switch on the subtitles, (still not sure if this was a tongue in cheek suggestion but it made us laugh and we constantly bantered with Sam over it). If you've got the choice you can ask for block 6 which is a newer block (self catering) affording marvellous views of Turkey at sunrise, Block 5 is at the back more out of the way and block 4 is right on top of the pool and daytime pool bar.
The hotel caters for young /old and couples. We highly recommend this hotel and we would return. PS visiting Kelly's bar and George's bar is a must for a good friendly atmosphere.

Me and seven other 19 year lads stayed here for a week in July 2009. Overall we were all very impressed with the hotel. 4 of us were in what was described as a 2 bedroom suite when in actual fact it was just two interconnecting rooms. This didn't matter though because the rooms were spacious, clean and practical for our needs.
The pool area is also a good place to chill for the day or nurse your hangover. There were always enough sunbeds to go around and the pool was nice. There's also a poolside bar serving tasty food and beverages which also plays lively music witch adds to the atmosphere.

As soon as we arrived in the early hours, we were greeted by a friendly face, shown to rooms and around complex, explained what was available and who to see for any extras we required in the morning. The rooms were clean and changed often. As a family we like to go out and about the resort but did stay and have some meals in the restaurant which we could not fault. The complex is on a hill but we found it not to be a problem, there are buses or taxi's if you wish. Overall we had a lovely relaxing holiday, made even more so by the friendly family who run the complex and the very friendly barman Ricky who cound not do enough for you. Would go again to complex but was disappointed with Faliraki.
