“Great place for a chilled out holiday in stunning santorini!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

Andreas Studios is Awesome! We has such a great holiday and would come back in heartbeat! The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean, freshly painted white, with nice decor. They bring you fresh towels every day and clean your room, our balcony overlooked the pool and the back verandah had a view of the stunning Perissa mountain range. Location was great. On the edge of Perissa town, next to supermarket, bars, restaurants etc. The pool was nice and the beach is 8 minutes walk through the beachside restaurants and bars. Little touches included lovely photography framed on the walls.

We also recommend the amazing food and friendly vibes of Atlas Restaurant, about a block from the hotel. It became our local!

My boyfriend and I wanted a relaxing holiday somewhere hot, but not tacky, with beautiful places to visit and more to do than just go to the beach. Andreas Studios was perfect for this.
Perissa itself is a great place to stay as the beach is gorgeous, the restaurants and bars are lovely (and not tacky) and it has a lovely relaxed vibe. Its a great base to explore the stunning, gorgeous amazing island of Santorini - we hired a quad bike and it got us to beautiful Oia for the sunset, to the top of the big mountain and meant we were able to find lots of secluded beaches and sunset viewspots. For those days we wanted to relax on the beach it was right there, just a few minutes away!

We loved this place, it's by no means 5* or honeymoon material, but for a chilled beach holiday in a stunning spot, it's utterly perfect!

Room Tip: top level overlooking the pool!

We stayed at the hotel for one week, we booked through Thomas cook and Olympic 2 weeks before we went on the holiday. We paid £380 for the whole holiday.

Our room was very good for the money we paid! Our room was big for the two of us and we had plenty of space, we had a 'garden view' room which meant we had a balcony with double doors overlooking the hotel pool which was nice =) We had a small kitchen with 2 cooker rings, fridge with freezer inside, sink, kettle and some equipment (which I wasn't keen to use and was glad I took our camping cutlery and plates!) With the big Coop over the road we were able to save some money and make food in our room some days.

Location of the hotel is good, there are restaurants, bus stops, shops, things to see and the most amazing 24hr bakery all within walking distance. The only downside to the location is that it is on the main road and this comes with traffic! Lots of motorbikes, quadbikes, cars and coaches but this didn't bother us that much... but if something like this would ruin your holiday I would recommend finding a hotel nearer the beach in Perissa away from the main road! It wasn't always loud, just now and again!

We found our room was very clean and was cleaned thoroughly everyday, we had our sheets and towels replaced everyday also. This was excellent. When I had any questions or requests such as a plug for the kitchen sink they were friendly and helpful finding me a plug by the next morning.

I had trouble with the shower and toilet but after telling our fantastic Olympic rep about it... I soon realised that that is common for hotels in Greece! There was little water pressure and the water was salty - the toilet seat was also too big for the toilet but this was true of many toilets I visited in Greece. It stressed me out as you often slid when you sat down and the lid would close on you! I didn't let it ruin my holiday and found ways around it! We had a laugh about our dribbly shower and crocodile toilet that tries to eat you! But I can see for others how it could be more of a problem.

The pool was refreshing and really nice to relax around. Also, the pool bar chips were nice but we only had chips from it once as we were very much enjoying the food from the 24hr bakery over the road!

Overall it was a good hotel for the money we paid =D for a young couple buying a cheaper last minute holiday we were pleased with the hotel. We did have a look at other hotels around and if we went back we would probably try and stay down by the beach, or if we came into lots of money somehow!! haha (student!) We would stay at one of the bigger posh hotels with lights up the drive and a bath to soak in after a day of walking and adventuring in the sun!

We've just returned from a week here, and would happily go back.
Spotlessly clean, ideal location (close to cracking bakery and supermarket), 10 minute walk to the beach and Tranquillo, nice pool area too!
We were overlooking the pool and didn't notice the road noise at all.

I stayed a week at this hotell on an unspecified charter-tour. I was positively suprised by the nice pool area and the friendly staff. I lived in the "older" part of the hotel, but compared to the price I payed, I did not expect more. Close to bakery, supermarket, farmacy, post-office, ATV/scooter rent and not far from the beach. Will absolutely recommend the place!

Have to say that Crete is our one and only home from England. However, we did things slightly differently this year & instead of flying to Crete, we flew to Santorini - Amazing! We had fabulous time in Santorini and took ferry from there to Crete (usually done the other way around!). Saw so much in Santorini which was good but we are doing things the other way around this year - 10 days Crete, 5 days Santorini. Crete is so special & home for us - Santorini is majical - somewhere to relax and catch up with new friends. Santorini is absolutely amazing but then again so is Crete! To have the best of both worlds you would need 2 weeks in each place (unless you are greedy like me then I would spend 3 months Crete & 1 Santorini - only because Santorini is small & once you have explored all you have to do is relax!!!) Efkaristo poli for the hospitality of our Greek friends = Look forward to seeing you all in September. Lots of love xxx

Room Tip: Cleanliness is important - we have, for the last 12 years visited Crete, Aloi Hotel for all of these...

Booked last minute through Olympic, the studios are basic and a little tired but they are exceptionally clean with a good size pool and extremely friendly. The pool bar does drinks and snacks all very reasonably priced, We went in June and there was no reserving sunbeds which I think is great. Opposite is the co-op supermarket and a 24hr bakery. A two minute walk will get you to God's garden restaurant averge price of meal 25 euros including one beer and half a carafe of wine. Beach is about ten fifteen minutes but is the black sand, very coarse not my favourite so preferred the pool. Car / quad hire about 15 to 20 euros per day depending on how long you have it for. Pedal cycles five euros per day. Caldera view bar is a great place to see the sunset and Oia is a very pretty photographic village. Would return to these apartments for the cleanliness and friendliness.

Room Tip: Out of two blocks go for the block overlooking pool

Jus returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at Andreas Studios. Accommodation was exactly as expected for 2star in Greece. Spacious room at front of building which was practical, but provided us all we needed. Rooms were cleaned everyday including bedding and towels. From our balcony we watched the horses and the sunset which made up for road noise.

The pool area was clean, tidy and very spacious with a good sized pool. This was run by lovely Lily and Costa. Lily was helpful with local info and served a good variety of snacks and drinks throughout the day - I was sad to say 'goodbye'.

Santorini, is a beautiful island with plenty to explore. The Caldera is spectacular. Oia is magical and I cannot wait to return!!! Perissa is a great beach resort as a base as not too crowded. Although Oia is famous for the sunset I would highly recommend Pyrgos of which we had a delicious meal from the roof terrace at the greek coffee taverna below the Kasteli where the sunset was spectacular.
