“Best budget hotel in Santorini”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

The hotel is in the cheaper pasrter of Santorini and for this it is quite remote, its only a 10min walk to perissa beach but its a 15min bus journey to Fira and 30mins to Oia but the buses are pretty frequent. The hotel itself is excellently run, the staff are realy friendly, the pool area is excellent to relax and soak up the sun. Our private double was spacious clean, air con, cleaned daily, had a fridge and was everything we needed. I would recommend this place if you are looking for something cheaper than Fira or Oia's high prices.

The hotel was in a great shape. This family-owned hotel was very friendly and nice. The staff was very friendly and nice. We had a last minute change of plans and one of the hotel employees offered to give us a ride, for additional charge of course. But it was nice and thoughtful. The rooms were very clean and organized. There was only soap in the bathroom, but this is across all Greece. So bring your shampoo and other bathroom items. The Kitchen was fully stocked and you are able to buy groceries and cook if you would like. The beach is 10 minute walk - but it is well worth it. There is a bus stop 1 minute away - always check the bus schedule with the staff before going to the bus stop. The breakfast was low key, but again, provided with care and love.
Note. There was no room service or Fitness Center. The pool was great, clean and with a bar.

Room Tip: There are two buildings - ask one with access to the pool if you plan to spend a lot of time in the...

This review is a bit late in coming- considering I worked/holidayed here in 1995!, but this goes to show how great this place and how they have built a long standing reputation. A short walk takes you to the shops, bars and beach, a longer exhausting one takes you up a mountain and the most breathtaking views of ancient Greek ruins one could wish for. If you go in July you see a blood red moon setting over the sea (viewed from the pool area with a cocktail or two). Go in August and sit on one of their pool sunloungers at night and you have a most heavenly show of shooting stars I've yet to see elsewhere. All yours to discover :-)

We stayed here for a week at the end of July, we got a great deal so it was excellent value for money - breakfast wasn't included so we just grabbed coffee and yogurt at the pool bar when it opened but they do also have a little restaurant serving breakfast we just preferred to have breakfast outside by the pool.

Pool is really nice and clean, and the pool bar serves pizza, salad, sandwiches and drinks - all pretty reasonable prices too. Rooms are ok not luxury but clean and cool, and you also have a/c and a little fridge which is very handy.

I would recommend having a motorbike, quad or car though if you are staying here as it's a little remote - the beach is a good minute walk although there is a bus stop nearby.

Overall if you are just looking for somewhere basic and good value for money this is a nice little hotel.

Room Tip: Try and get one of the rooms on the second floor overlooking the pool - nice sea views

The rooms small but comfortable. The veranda very small, laundry is expensive and there is not a place or line to hang a wet swimsuit or rinsed underwear.
The pool is superb.
The meals in the bar are tasty but expensive..
The manageress is a very nice person and helpful.

Room Tip: Budget hotel, comfortable

The hotel is spectacular and for an amazing prize, it maxed my expectations, still, it is not located in Thira, the capital of Santorini, so if you want to be sorrounded by white small houses and apartments in the mountains, you should not stay in Perissa. But if you are traveling on a budget, this hotel is perfect, cheap and AMAZING!!!! You can always take a bus to Thira which runs constantly right next to the hotel. Oh! Also, they have a free shuttle to and from the port!!
