“Excellent hospitality, great location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2013

What a fantastic stay! After being dropped off from the port, immediately we were greeted with a very warm welcome. At check-in, we were provided a complete overview of the island, activity/restaurant recommendations, and a complimentary welcome drink. The property is very well maintained and is equipped with a small pool and wonderful rooftop terrace with views of the caldera. The location is excellent, only a few steps from restaurants, taverns, a mini- market (great for snacks, beverages, etc...) travel office, and bus stop (very, very easy to use... definitely make your way to Oia). The breakfast available is very compete and a great way to kick-start the day. I also would recommend the shuttle service available to/from the port (much cheaper than a taxi). Above all, the family that runs this bed and breakfast were beyond hospitable. Originally from Santorini., they will be able to provide any information you need to make your stay enjoyable. Having stayed at many resorts, I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast if you want a more intimate and local stay in Santorini. I will certainly be back!

My apologies for the late review. This review is for our stay 28 - 30 May 2010. I posted one then using my iPhone when we were in Rome, however, it does not seem to appear here. (probably my fault, not TripAdvisor). With that out of the way, here is my review for that stay.

Let me start by saying that these people were, by far, the friendliest, warmest and most accommodating owners/staff that we experienced in our 7 week tour of Europe. Right from the very start, my wife and I felt the warmth and sincerity of the owners. The check-in was quick and informative and we were in our room with in minutes.

We had asked for a quiet room and that was exactly what we got. The room was beautifully laid out which was quite romantic. It was also spotlessly clean (and kept that way by the the staff). It had everything that we needed and was very comfortable. We had a view past the pool to the ocean on the west side of the island, which was beautiful.

The location was fantastic, you could simply walk up the steps of the hotel and go through the gate at the top and you were on the walkway that takes you along the clifftop which affords you the most wonderful views of the sea and amazing sunsets. We used this walkway daily, there are many cafes and bars on the way down to the main shopping area (a 10 - 15 minute stroll, if I remember correctly).

We loved staying at this hotel and wished that we had booked for much longer, we were genuinely sad to leave these wonderful people and their lovely hotel. We look at the photos regularly and are filled with the warmth that those memories give us.

We could see no better value for money while we were there. Being from Christchurch, New Zealand, the exchange rate was pretty harsh in 2010, so that really was important to us.

We have recommended this hotel to many of our friends, of which, all who have made it to this wonderful Island have stayed at this hotel and have thanked us for the recommendation.

The bottom line from us is; If you visit Santorini, stay at this hotel.

Our warmest regards go out to this wonderful family.
We hope to stay with them again if we ever get that far again.

Best place to stay in Santorini! This is a family run place that's full of comfy homy charm! We were warmly welcomed by the father who picked up us from the port and from there, the staff designed a itinerary for us. They helped us rent a car to go around the island and to the best local restaurants. They were so kind and helpful always and that made a big difference for our trip and our impression of Greek people. Definitely will stay here again if we come back to Santorini.

This family was amazing. They will bend over backwards for you and set up with a ride from the ferry and an atv rental. We ended up renting the 200 cc but could have just done with the 125 or 80 if just headed to the beaches.

The room was great we got to pick from two options. We even had a bath one night and it was fabulous to just relax after all the walking we did. It backs the caldera, I was a little nervous walking the caldera path from fira late at night because it was dark but everything turned out to be fine and safe in the end.

We would definitely come and stay again. They are a wonderful family and I wish them the best of luck.

Nice and cosy family hotel, commitment of the owners is perceived everywhere. Warm welcome
and good advices to spend our time and found local places to eat. Recommended Kamari taverna was exellent and food delicious. The location in Firostofani is good, just walk from center.
Our room was comfortable and clean, all was white.

I think what makes this hotel what it is is the family who owns it! They are by far the sweetest and most helpful people you will ever meet. Nothing is too much trouble and every single one of them makes you feel special and welcome. Also, because they are from Santorini, they know the area and surrounding businesses. Everything that was recommended to us was excellent!

Overall, the hotel is cute and very clean. The decor is simple and white. Breakfast is extra but worth it as it is fresh and made to order. From the hotel, you can easily walk to Fira along the caldera or start your breath-taking hike to Oia.

Room Tip: Try a second floor room on the caldera side. The street can be a tad noisy, but certainly does not d...

We booked the hotel from a booking website on the ferry about an hour before we arrived, based on the reviews and are so pleased that we did.
The family were expecting us even with such short notice and we received a lovely warm welcome. The family cannot do enough for you to ensure that you have everything you need, from providing the local bus timetables to suggesting the best local restaurants to eat. (Recommend the mixed grill for 2 at Simnos!)
Rooms are simple but scrupuously clean and great value for money. Lovely sunset views from the rooftop terrace.
We loved the location in Firostefani- amazing views from the Caldera Edge but far enough away - (15 minutes walk- along the Caldera- a little hilly, so have good footwear) from the madding crowds of the cruise ship day trippers.
Would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
