“Friendly and welcoming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Came here with my wife on our first night in Santorini. We were very jet lagged but glad we made the effort because this place was great. Friendly service and lovely food with a family-owned and run vibe. Had the grilled sea bass and snapper, delicious!

“Best so far...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Having eaten in about six Santorini restaurants during our stay, this one proved to be the best. Its small, but the service was good. The food was the best we'd had. Everything seemed to be very fresh, carefully prepared and well presented. My guess is that they have a 'real' chef. The price wasn't bad either, although August in Santorini seems to make everything a little more expensive.

“A family owned restaurant with passion and enthusiasm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I walked pass this restaurant several times and were attracted by its seafood pasta. However our staying in Fira had come closed to the end. So with half of our stomach full, we arrived to this nice small family-owned restaurant that's on a cute little roof with nice environment. Indeed it was really an embarrassment when we tried to order just the seafood pasta and we were rejected in the first place. We felt so sorry the server looked embarrassed too while telling me their difficulty. Anyway it was settled by us ordering the additional asparagus dish, which was very fresh and lightly seasoned with mild dressing. And finally the seafood pasta had arrived to our table, filled with fresh mussel, diced calamari, spices and others in a tasty tomato based sauce. We were surprised by its size and generosity but it was too salty for us.
Other than the food, we were touched by the owner's enthusiasm and passion on their food and with their guests. Although we must looked like some poor students on their summer vacation or weird Chinese customers with odd requests, we felt being respected and served wholeheartedly.
After all it was a nice semi-dining experience with the food, the people and the environment. We just wished that there would be less people smoking around us.

“Exceptional!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Pirouni is by far the best Restaurant in Firostefani, and Santorini as a whole! I went with my Girlfriend three times now (on a single 7 day trip), and every time it was better than the previous one! The lobster spaghetti (for 2 ppl dish) was out of the ordinary! with an amazing view and a service that even the queen would envy. I also had the baked lamb ( needles to comment, read reviews below) and the chiken stifado which was better than my grandma's (sorry Grandma :) ). I would recommend this family run business, which knows how to take care of its customers. Vagelis (the owner) is not only friendly, and quick in servicing his customer but will also recommend what is worth visiting on the island! Simply exceptional!!!

“Average among the restaurants we visited”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

My girlfriend and I went here based on the reviews we read. We were a little disappointed. We chose the sea bass & red snapper platter (90 euros) and found the fish a little too dry and overcooked. Vegetables are all from a tin. We moved tables to eat indoors as it was far too windy outside and everything was being blown away - but the only place to eat inside was essentially the kitchen - which was at least warm and out of the wind. Was a little disappointed overall and found much better restaurants in Firostefani over the following days.
