“Not so great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

I had spaghetti with tomato sauce and it was very sweet. My husband had the 4 cheese pizza, his favourite, and he said it was just ok. We ordered the mushroom/cheese bruschetta and were shocked when 2 small pieces showed up and it was plain, plain!! Far better Italian places to eat here.

“breaking a habit of a lifetime!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

II Cantuccio was situated on the corner of the pathway leading to our hotel, so my wife, daughter and I became accustomed to the enticing aromas of Italian cooking! However, we have always felt that when in Greece, eat Greek. We first cracked upon returning from a lovely sunset sail, having eaten early and by late evening feeling peckish! Upon enquiry we were told a takeaway pizza would take 10 mins. The time was spot on and within quarter of an hour we were sitting on our terrace, tucking into a delicious pizza, washed down with ice cold wine, surrounded by the twinkling lights of Santorini's cliff tops. This encouraged us to break the habit of a lifetime and book a table on the last night of our stay. The restaurant is small, and we had an indoor table, which was quite atmospheric. My calzone was top notch and the carbonara and the crab pastas both went down well. Value was excellent, especially in comparison to Firostefani's other establishments and we would certainly recommend II Cantuccio to anyone wishing to give "Greek" a miss for the night!

“Simple but very pleasant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2013

This was in the top 1/3 of restaurants we ate at during our week in Firostefani/Fira. My girlfriend and I both ate pizza which was perfectly nice while sat inside. It was cozy and romantic. My only criticism was that the (I'm guessing) husband and wife owners who sat and served us didn't show any interest in us and just did the very basic thing of bringing us our food and bill. More effort could have been made - and a smile never hurts.
