“Home in the Luberon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

We stayed 5 nights in the loft of this beautiful property. It was an excellent jump off point for touring the many hill towns in the area. But what makes it special is the hospitality of the owners, Christiane and Robert. They were always willing to help with whatever you needed. On our last night, Christiane cooked an excellent meal for many of the residents, and a great time was had by all.

Leave your needs to be connected to TV and the Internet behind and relax in this beautiful setting with great hosts.

My wife and I spent 3 nights there and we have a great time. Christine and Bob were simply the best. We not only felt at home but also at a nice hotel, right in the middle of a gorgeous property. We not only got great recommendations about local vineries, but also restaurants and other local attractions. Strongly recommend for anyone looking to have a pleasant time in the south of France.

We have just returned from a stay here. The place is lovely. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The breakfast was nice and fresh everyday. The pool area was always very clean and tidy...my only negative was the pool was too cold to get in fully but that really was my only negative. Very good value for money. Christiane and her husband are lovely people who cant do enough for you and made us feel very welcome. You would neecd a car to stay here as its auite remote. Definitely recommend it.

Room Tip: Choose top floor rooms.

The hosts of this lovely B&B, Christiane and Robert made our 2-day stay one of the highlights of our ten-day trip through Provence. I especially enjoyed the distance of the location from busy Roussillon in the Luberon Hills area. Their home is in a valley, spacious, with a lawn surrounding the swimming pool and a gorgeous terrace, where we had our breakfast each day. Our room was large, the floors titled as was the bathroom.
Christiane and Robert treated us to sumptuous continental breakfasts, with Christiane's homemade yoghurt, and melt-in-your-mouth french pastry, as well as fresh bread, and yummy fruit jams. We plan on returning next year, and staying a few more days with such considerate and helpful hosts!

Room Tip: We had a corner room with cross-ventilation from windows on two sides. I'd recommend asking for...

This charming B&B was located in the valley just below Roussillon in the Luberon Hills area and from our room we could see the beautiful ocher hillside that the village was built upon. Christiane was our "teacher" pointing out where we should go on each of the 4 days that we were there. Her suggestions were so delightful we never made it to Avignon and have no regrets about that. The loft is the room we stayed in with the great views, balcony and spacious bath. She and her husband provide a delightful spread of jams and juices and breads to start your day and you can dine out on the patio on beautiful mornings.

Room Tip: The loft is a delight, but you do have to bend a bit to get into the room since it was the loft of a...

We had a very pleasant two day stay here. We had neglected to ask ahead of time for reservations for the dinner sometimes served here, but our hostess Christiane fit us in to the existing party and we were most grateful. Appetizers and drinks were served to an assorted group that included French, Swiss, Australians and us, Americans We then moved to a lovely long table for a delicious dinner with fresh local produce. Conversation flowed, even with language barriers on our part and it was a memorable evening. Breakfasts in the morning were ample and fresh yogurt was a nice touch. The inn is outside of any village and a car is essential here, but a rental car is really the best way to see this part of Provence anyway.

A delightful place for our 4 nights stay. Large, clean, comfortable room, quiet environment, spacious grounds. Nice breakfasts. Along with our lovely and friendly hosts, Bob and Christiane.
Christiane was most forthcoming and helpful giving precise directions to places of interest.
But most of all, she displayed her caring nature on our checkout day when my wife developed an eye infection.
Sensing our predicament, strangers in a foreign place, and speaking no French, she immediately took the initiative to do the needful. Being a Sunday, Christiane made an appointment with the doctor on duty in another village, then drove us to the clinic, where she acted as translator.
After consultation, she then doubled back to Roussillon for medication at the pharmacy.
We're extremely grateful for her kindness and concern, and taking up her time in going the extra mile.
Christiane, thank you for making the continuation of the rest of our trip possible.

Warmest regards,
Elizabeth & Sylvester
