Hotel Roques is situated in the village of Les Angles, which is in effect a quiet suburb of Avignon. The village has a good range of restaurants and shops yet is only 6 minutes away from Avignon by bus. The buses are relatively regular, but stop around 8pm at night. During the festival, there are night buses. It is approximately 40 minutes on foot to the centre of Avignon. Staff in the hotel are extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was clean, relatively spacious, well equipped and nicely decorated and furnished in a typical French style. The hotel has a large amount of outdoor space, with a patio area at the back door where tables are set for breakfast, as well as a large car park and gardens with swimming pool. The breakfast buffet is good value at 10 euros with a wide variety. We would happily stay here again if visiting the Avignon festival.
