“Perfect for a few days.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2012

Three friends and I stayed here a few weeks ago. We took a taxi from the airport and were informed after the meter had gone up to 25 Euros the driver had no idea where he was going. Make sure you take a map, a contact number and the name of the nearest train station (Les Gresillons).
Receptionist was friendly and informative and answered all the questions we needed to know. We had a bit of trouble with our room at first as were booked into one double room for the four of us. However this was quickly sorted out and we were moved to a very nice, spacious, suite. Two large rooms, double bed, double sofa bed, en suite and small kitchen area. We also had a balcony. A view of the train tracks but still wasn’t too bad. Hardly saw anyone else staying within the hotel, very quiet. Rooms are very clean but will not be cleaned during your stay.
We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel but there is a brilliant bakery opposite. Fairly cheap. Definitely recommend. Also just behind the bakery is a supermarket where you’ll find everything you need.
The train station is very easy to get to and takes you straight into the centre of Paris. If staying for a few days would definitely recommend getting one of the travel cards.
When travelling late at night back to the hotel, make sure the taxi driver knows where he is going before he starts his meter.
Overall a pleasant stay. Perfect for a few days. Just a bit of effort having to catch public transport into Paris every day. However we did enjoy the double decker trains!

Room Tip: Ask for the room with balcony.

We recently had a City break in Paris and stayed at the Residhome Appart Hotel.

The Hotel is a new build (only 2 years old) and very modern, trendy and clean throughout. It is very easy to reach from central Paris - the RER station Les Gresillons is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Travel time on the RER from Les Gresillons to central Paris is only around 12 minutes.

Upon check in we were greeted by a very friendly (English speaking) receptionist who issued us with our key cards for our Twin room.

Our room was fairly small but very clean, modern and nicely decorated.
The bed's were excellent as they where very comfortable and the pillows were nice & chunky.

What I really liked about the room was that we got a proper sink area with kettle and complimentary teabags. Not many hotel issue guests with these facilities - so I felt this was a great touch!
The En-suit bathroom was great and they provided us with complimentary showers gels, soaps & shampoo.
The room also had a safe, fridge, microwave, TV, and telephone.

We stayed here for 3 nights and slept well each night, the hotel is in a very quite district called Asnieres.

We were staying Bed & Breakfast board, Breakfast was continental (croissants, rolls, pastries, jams, yoghurt, juices, cereal etc) This put us on fine for the day ahead! The dining area was a little small but that was only a minor.

Certain people may have concerns about this hotel's proximity to central Paris. I would suggest that you purchase the Paris visitepass - as this allows unlimited travel on the Metro and RER for 1, 2, 3 or 5 consecutive days. The hotel is within zone 3 so the cheaper zones 1-3 visitepass is ideal.

Getting from the RER station to the hotel is easy, after exiting Les Gresillons station cross the road at the zebra crossing then go left and you immediately come to a bus stop after the bus stop make an immediate right turn down a side street type road after 100m go right at the junction then follow the road round to the left (with RER railway line to your right) and the hotel is 100m on your left hand side. About a 3 minute walk to simplify & the hotels location on Google maps is very accurate.

We booked this hotel via TravelRepublic got a great price - £110 complete price for twin room, 3 nights, breakfast included!!

Would certainly recommend the Residhome Appart Hotel Asnieres!

Room Tip: We had a room facing the railway line - great view & no noise!

The place is nice enough. See below for big problem. A bit smaller than my American mind envisioned from the pictures online. It is new, and the climate control worked, wi-fi worked, noise was not an issue, bathrooms are clean, etc. Breakfast is meh, I got it using miles, so it was nice, especially because you couldn't get breakfast in Paris for quite a while if you're staying here, due to distance.

Tip: They do not turn down your room during your stay (not sure why they even have "do not disturb" signs). Get extra towels. Make your own bed.

Problem: Distance/convenience. It is not a place from which you'll want to take a bike or scooter into town. There are some major roads and rotaries/roundabouts on the way. Thus, you must either take a cab, or learn to use public transportation. I though public transport would be a breeze. It's a little tricky, and took us a couple of days to get used to. Cabs into Paris are pricey, usually in the ball park of 30+ euros, which adds up quickly. We ended up using them only for return trips, since trains weren't running to that neighborhood after ~11 p.m. I believe. I rated value as poor, because the price should be considered with the inconvenience or added cost of transportation.

We were a family of 6.
From the map, it looked not so far from downtown, but it was.
Train line & subway transfers are time consuming and demand a lot of walking.
The hotel lacks a lot, i.e. (they have veru few irons to lend, the lift is not enough as it is only one lift, expect waiting or use the stairs, ;-) One lift to serve all appartments!!)
The only vertue of this hotel is that it is very quite at night and near to CDG.
Using credit card we reserved two adjacent rooms @ 2 months before we arrive, but that too did not help, we stayed rooms apart.

Room Tip: Room looked smaller than areas posted on the web (They may be including the bath & foyer ??)

I booked this hotel for me and my girlfriend as we spent a long weekend in paris. Although as it is a new development it was slightly complicated finding it initially, but this was because the complex it is situated in is completely new. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, and the rooms were very very clean and fresh. I was suitably impressed, as this was a hotel i booked more on a budget. The nearest metro was only 10-15mins walk away or 5/6 euros by cab, but we could get into the centre of paris by all the tourist attractions within 45 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel as a good place to crash if visiting paris!

Stayed three nights at this hotel. The property is beautiful, less than two years old. The room was modern, spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was very good as well. Excellent value overall.

The only drawback is location. The hotel is a block or so away from the RER (regional commuter rail) station. Trains run into the city every 15 minutes or so and the ride into a metro hub, or the Eiffel Tower for that matter is about 10 to 12 minutes. Very convenient. However, RER trains onl run until 11 pm. If you are heading back after that time you need to catch a cab and the hotel's address doesnt appear on any gps. Considering the somewhat insolent attitude that Paris cab drivers have towards tourists, this gets frustrating pretty quickly.

Turns out the hotel is on a street, in a new development, which is an extension of an older street that does appear on GPS (Rue Louis Armand). If you give the cab driver that street name he will bring you to within two blocks of the hotel.

Another thing. This is a residential, suburban neighborhood so you cant just walk outside and fetch a cab. Thr hotel staff has to call for one and the cab starts charging the minute they hang up the phone. So by the time they pull up to the hotel door, the taxi meter is already clocking 9 or 10 Euros. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind as the ride into the city center will probably cost you another 15 to 20 Euros depending on traffic. Hey, no one ever said Paris was cheap.

Just to be fair, this is primarily a late night issue as the nearby train service is quick and consistent.

Room Tip: Ask for extra towels. They dont change them for the duration of your stay.
