Stayed for 3 nights in the Harmony Garden Villa and loved it! Beautiful, clean and so close to the beach and all the staff was helpful and friendly. We rented a scooter/moto for $30 a day that was perfect for getting to el Centro. Otherwise it was about $6-10 for a taxi to and from the hotel. There are nice hammocks and lounge chairs near the beach and yoga decks. A perfect private place to relax!

We stayed in Santa Teresa for one week and were very dissapointed, that we had to leave!
Everybody, especially the girls at the reception ( thank you Andy, Lucecia and Sandra) were so friendly and were always there to answer our questions! They helped us a lot with organising our days. Already in front of our arriving, they contact us and asked, if we need any help- perfect! In the night, a security man was watching over the hole place, so that we felt very protected!
The Villa (Harmony Villa in the Garden) was perfect: very clean and with a very comfortable bed and good kitchen (but we went out for dinner at almost every evening)! We saw a lot of very beautiful animals: monkeys, butterflies, squirrels,... And the dogs, of course! Normally, i am always afraid of them, but these dogs became true friends and we miss them already!

We rented an atv, what nearly everybody drives, and were able to drive in "the city" every evening!

The best activity was surfing - Alaric gave us private surfinglessons and we enjoyed his friendly and funny charakter very much! It maked soo much fun (thank you Alaric!!!!)! We keeped the bords at the hotel and were able to practise at our own beach. Perfect!

Last but not least: the sunset is really amazing! I can't find the right words to describe it..

Everything was so good and perfect, that we are planning our next visit!

We had the best time ever at The Red Palm Villas. Very spacious and clean villa, close to the (almost private) beach, and the most welcoming and kind staff ever. The villa has a pleasant outdoor 'jungle' feeling yet feels safe and cosy. We were surrounded by flowers, huge butterflies, birds and other species. By 4WD you can see a lot of the beautiful surroundings. We stayed during rain season, but spent most of our time at the very sunny beach, and it was extra green and quiet because of the green season. We would definitely come back, hopefully soon!

If we could rate the Red Palms higher that five stars we would. We booked the Red Palm for our Wedding/Honeymoon almost a year in advance and had never been to Costa Rica, we had many questions, especially since we were planning our wedding. The owner (Mike) and all of his staff at the Red Palm are nothing short of amazing. So incredibly helpful and informative even with all the questions we asked. We felt like long time friends with everyone at the Red Palms from the second we arrived on the property. There attention to detail and amazing genuine friendliness made us feel so welcome and comfortable.

The property was very private, yet we felt like we were staying at a five star + resort. We have to say every single picture we looked at is exactly what we experienced when we arrived. The staff at the Red Palms is nothing short of amazing, they took care of every detail. Our wedding ceremony on the beach was spectacular and exceeded all of our expectations, leaving us with a memory that will last a lifetime.

We have only been home for a week and are planning our next visit to the Red Palms.

If your looking for the trip of a lifetime the Red Palms is the place.

Room Tip: Cannot go wrong with any villa.

our family stayed in one of the villas and it was incredible...the villa itself was beautiful and compeltly exposed which although daunting at first proved to be the most exceptional experience of the whole two weeks there.

The staff was very very friendly and I cannot reiterate how helpful in sorting out surfing gear and restaurant bookings...

the location, imagine on the beach, amongst trees with monkeys coming in and mother nature at your feet. we barley put on our shoes and or t shirts during our stay!!

Not wanting to share this secret too much but it is truly beautiful and worth experiencing. I have to mention that I had look at staying at the adjacent resorts but having taken the opportunity to visit would recommend that if you have the chance to stay in one of the villas, you do so!!!! Nothing compares!

We stayed at the Red Palm Villas for a little over three weeks during April (including Easter) this year, and had a wonderful time. Amazing to be staying practically on the beach, hearing the sound of the never-ending waves and experiencing the fabulous views from our villa. Santa Teresa beach is unbelievably pretty - a true paradise, so the location is perfect if you want to stay close to the waves and surf!

Due to our long stay, we stayed in both the Hummingbird Villa and the Honeymoon Villa - and both are beautiful. If we had to choose, we would go for the Honeymoon Villa, which had the most wonderful AC bedroom downstairs, a really beautiful almost-outdoor bathroom, a kitchen with the prettiest view over the beach and ocean, plus a patio to sit outside and relax in the evenings. We had a baby with us, and it was a plus that the iguanas were not able to come inside the house here. The Hummingbird Villa is more outdoors - which is great, because you feel very close to nature and all the sounds of the jungle and the sea. We heard howler monkeys and birds, and on a few occasions we were also visited by an iguana that wanted to steal our fruit when we had breakfast.
Maybe due to the dry season, there were almost no insects - very little mosquitos and no spiders.

Part of this place and why we liked it so much is the service from the very friendly staff - the houses were kept spotlessly clean by three lovely ladies by their every-day thourough housekeeping. So friendly, our daugther (aged 11 months) fell in love with Ilsa and wanted to stay with her all the time. The security staff and the garden keepers all smiling and friendly also, and the girls in the reseption were very helpful! Mike, the owner, was very helpful during our planning of the trip, and really helped us in many ways - which was fantastic for us, travelling all the way from the north of Europe.

With no room service or food service at the Red Palm Villas, you must either buy food to make in the well equipped kitchen, or go to a nearby restaurant. The next door restaurant (Milarepa) ws
as closed when we were there. There were other nice restaurants nearby, like Rocamar and Florblanca - but other than these, you have to either go by taxi or ATV (we rented one for our whole stay) during the night, or walk for some time along the beach during the day.

One (maybe the only) thing we found a little disappointing, was that we were not informed by the staff of the danger of walking on the beach after dark (there was a gun robbery just a few kilometres down the beach from us just a couple of weeks before we arrived), or the possible danger of the rip current in the water (three people drowned in just one day during our stay). Even though we appreciate and love both the waves and surf, and the remote setting of the place, it would be nice to have some information about the tides being particurlarly risky during Easter this year.

But all in all - a really beautiful place, with the best of staff and wonderful villas on the beach. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay so memorable!

We went during a two week, trip during rainy season. It took a while to get here, given the flight and the trek by SUV to get there. However if you want privacy, and to have a wonderful time, at a great place, look no further than here. The Villas are super clean, a mere few hundred feet from the ocean. The howler monkey are above your head, and the staff is insanely friendly and helpful. Even better if you are a dog person, you get personalized security from their great dogs. I plan on going back someday, just to relive the great time I have had there.
