If you are like me you have become a little skeptical of hotels and resorts whose reviews just seem too good! So it was with some apprehension that we arrived at The Red Palm Villas. The good news is that it is all that that the reviewers say it is. Set in tranquil and beautiful gardens surrounded by nature, flowers, wildlife, and on maybe one of the best beaches left in the world today
The villa's, and the staff make the Red Palms a special place. My wife and I were there celebrating my 60th birthday, everything was done to make it a truly memorable occasion. The dinner prepared by Chef Torsten, the birthday decorations prepared by staff were just fantastic. The discreet but detailed service was all that you could want with a sense of fun thrown in at no charge. The Red Palm Villas allows you to feel the Costa Rica culture while supported by all the comforts that we deem necessary. A truly special place and well worth it.
In one sentence, I must say the experience is beyond outstanding. It definitely competes at the level of any outstanding resort, but at a price point that is much lower. Lewcreshia, Sandra and Josefina. were courteous and always thought ahead anticipating our every need. They arranged for private drivers and private tours that were all excellent. They were always there to meet us immediately upon our return to the resort. I just can't say enough about their thoroughness and professionalism and thoughtfulness. The breakfast next door and the pool was perfect for us, lots of authentic touches and all of the luxury conveniences you would ever want. As for the grounds, they are stunning and extremely well maintained. I couldn't believe how all the staff knew your name and greeted you wherever they saw you. It is all of the small things that make you really feel that this place is special. From the private dinner on our open patio facing the beach to the Villa, everything beat our expectations. We went to all 4 restaurants next to the hotel, they were all great in their own rights, not one bad meal the entire time we were there. This place has only 3 villas and a few nice apartments or suites, it’s very exclusive and private so it never seems busy and you rarely see people other than occasionally at the beach or the reception. We without a thought or hesitation recommend this resort to families or honeymooners, it’s a perfect place to go, relax, have a great experience on maybe the best beach in the world, one word GO!

We stayed 6 nights in January and after 7 visits to Costa Rica this is the best hotel we have stayed. Thank you to Mike and his wonderful staff who welcomed us and looked after us. Our personal customer service representative Josefina was the most wonderful person you would want to look after you. Nothing was too much for her. Every night Josefina would check on us to make sure everything was ok. The villa was just beautiful, the views were breathtaking as they say and everyone raves about, the restaurants, service and location is excellent. The grounds are the most beautifully kept that I have seen. The large red palm trees are fantastic and I thank Ramone the head gardener for taking me on that tour. The mini bar came in handy as did their daily offer to fetch things we needed from the market every day. We would definitely stay again and definitely recommend you to stay at this lovely resort. Thank you again to Mike and all his wonderful staff.

We were three girlfriends on holiday in Santa Teresa and at least 5 times a day we would comment on how wonderful the resort was and how it just felt like home but a million times nicer. This resort is incredible and right on the beach. You can venture to all of the beautiful beaches that are at most a 10-45 minute drive away.

The pool next door where we had our breakfast was quiet and nice with a great ocean view. There were daily activities that were not cheesy like some resorts, all the tours we did were private, no other guests, it was upscale and very high quality. We made friends with Lacreshia (sp?), she's charming, beautiful and very peasant to be around. I practiced sunrise yoga with one of the resort dogs Seba, it was blissfully relaxing on their personal yoga decks just in front of the beach. Josefina at the front desk is very helpful and easy to talk to. The guys we took surf classes helped us find excellent snorkeling and beaches to check out. 
The villa we rented was spectacular. I have stayed in some nice places but this exceeded all of my expectations. We chose the resort because of the kitchen in each room. We wanted to cook our own meals and not spend money on resort food. This was the perfect way to go since Santa Teresa is sleepy and if you want to eat late you might have a hard time finding a good place that's open. The kitchen had everything you could need to cook a gourmet meal and we tried out almost everything. Not only is it well stocked but it's nice stuff, nothing cheap. There was nothing cheap about this).
The bedrooms and bathroom were big, beautiful and oh so comfortable. Free wireless internet was a little slow one day but the rest of the time is was lightening fast. The mini bar was full of goodies and they allow you to stock your kitchen with whatever you want for far less from a market, the best of both worlds. 
Overall the resort is something special and I would stay here again. You could conceivably stop at the grocery store on your way from the airport and not leave the resort for a week because it's so well planned.

Adventure, beauty, romance, and did I say adventure? We saw the pictures online... they don’t give credit where credit is due! This resort is BEAUTIFUL!!! The service was AMAZING!!! The gardens are lush. The wildlife is abundant. Our villa on the beach... SPECTACULAR!!! The staff is very friendly and helpful and Lucrecia and Josefina are very good at what they do, customer service. It was a huge convenience having someone always available and close-by who could provide excursions and rentals. We are a family of 5 (3 kids under 12) and somehow still found time for one night a romantic dinner just the two of us and a walk back home down a star lit beach. There was more than enough here to entertain everyone. We were very close to all the other beaches and multiple shopping areas. We would stay here again! Santa Teresa is a secluded, very natural and beautiful beach, all of which made our stay even better. Our kids want to go right back, we’re planning August, thanks everyone at Red Palm Villas - Pura Vida!!!
