“A View to Die For”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Best views on the peninsula ... smaller boutique resort ... the front villas have spectacular views of the beach in front.
My boyfriend and I had such a great time; you will not be disappointed. The staff at Red Palm Villas is very friendly and accommodating. The general manager is really cool and down to earth; we pretty much planned our whole trip according to her suggestions and we were happy with all of them.

Honeymoon Villa is great because the views are incredible; it's private yet close to the beach and very luxurious. The owner of the resort, Mike, responded to our emails within the day, sometimes within minutes, very efficient, and provided lots of helpful information. The villa was clean, had extra pillows, plenty of hot water, a kitchen with most supplies you can think of, and the decor is pretty and super relaxing. We love the open-air experience, the extra large AC. Our package had the breakfast and that was great. We ate at Milarepa so many times (3 meals in one day sometimes) and never got sick of it. The food is good and reasonably priced.

We also visited Koji and Brisas del Mar, more great food. The beach is beautiful and easy to walk on and is also not very crowded. I recommend renting a car but it’s not 100% necessary. Hoping to go back again soon.

“AMAZING!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

We brought our four kids with and it was wonderful! The service is exceptional, the view spectacular! It is very private, but we made good friends from the villas located beside the Red Palms - our kids made good friends and loved the rocks and the ocean right outside our door step. Did not want to leave! Love it - thank you Red Palms for the vacation of our lives!

“Amazing time!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

The Red Palms Villa was the absolutely perfect place to vacation and have our son's wedding. The staff met us at the door when we arrived and completely took care of everything while we were there. The service was thoughtful as well as efficient and friendly. I lived our villa. It had all of the accommodations that we needed plus a wonderful view of the beach which was right outside our door. The beach was beautiful both for the wedding and for relaxing and the staff had loads of extra touches that made it fun and comfortable. I am so glad that we chose this place and would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: The restaurant is next door and has wonderful food and good service. Both villas at Red Palms would...

“Impeccable service for destination wedding”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

From beginning to end, Red Palm Villas did a fantastic job making mine and my new husband's dreams come true for our wedding. Here is just a small list of what they did for us.
- Acted as concierge to our 24 closest friends and family; making everyone comfortable, happy, relaxed, and never without a belly full of the freshest, most delicious food. They advised on transfers, what flights would make sense and fixed some of our last minute snaffus that are normal to any wedding.
- Excursion planning made simple. Guests were able to join in or stay and relax on the beach. All transfers were set up by RPV. Effortless.
- The most beautiful beach can only be paired with a simple and elegant wedding set up, and that's what they made for us. The guitarist they arranged to play additionally was superb and the photographer did an amazing job as well.
- The months of planning be email beforehand were at times stressful (that's normal), but I was put at ease by their personable correspondence, timeliness and effortless decision making. I realized that they were going to take care of us. And they did. They treated us like family, laughed and cried with us, and we miss them all so much already. We can't thank Red Palm Villas enough. We will be back.

Room Tip: Talk with any of the helpful staff members about what villa would work best for you.

“Paradise - Exactly what we needed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

We traveled here as a family of four (our kids are 5 and 9). We stayed in the Lotus Villa, and we loved it! Our trip was to celebrate something pretty major in our lives, so my husband called ahead to see if we could perhaps get one of the villas that were recommended on tripadvisor (we know - lots and lots of people are on a honeymoon or celebrating a major anniversary, but ours was pretty much as big a celebration as we could imagine, so we called). He spoke with Ruth at the resort (he called the hotel's number direct, not reservations), and she was totally fantastic. When we arrived, Ruth did our personalized check-in, we were early and anxious to take a dip in the ocean, my husband went with her, we went straight to the beach.
Our villa on the beach was an unexpected pleasure. We had no idea it would be so close to the beach! The second floor bed is perfectly aligned with the view of waves out front, so when I woke up in the morning, I would see the most amazing waves without even getting up.

We really appreciated Ruth’s help. She was fantastic throughout our stay (she is at the desk as well as doing personalized check-ins etc). Also, I should mention that our villa was not ready when we arrived, we were 2 hours early but Ruth knew that I had been through major medical treatments over the past year (thus the celebration), and she allowed me to rest in an un occupied suite. That was incredibly considerate, and very much appreciated. She also called our next hotel to make sure our accommodations there would be outstanding. Thanks Ruth!

We had breakfast included in our rate, and it was very good. I really enjoyed the gallo pinto, beans, egg and rice that they served. As a result of the medical treatments I underwent, eating is very difficult, so its a huge deal for me to say I enjoyed eating. Hats off to the chef for that! I think it is the first food I have enjoyed in the last year. We should email the hotel to find out what the sauce was - not the usual but very similar to Worcestershire, much better (that is, much better for me). The coconut water was perfect also for my as well as the fruits and veggies.

We ate at the pool next door a lot (it works best with young children).
Of course the food is great, everything is local and fresh for the most part. Our family of four usually spent about $60 to $65 for lunch for 4. The Isla Tortuga snorkeling tour was cool, there are so many different kinds of fish there! There was an eel living in the rocks. Don't see that everyday! House keeping was very good. One late afternoon we went for surf lessons, and when we returned, we had come in and done a second tidying up for us. I felt bad, as I had not thought that housekeeping would be through a second time that and I had not made my kids pick up their toys, so there was some disarray. But when we got back, everything was lovingly put away, and my daughter's stuffed animals were adorably arranged on her bed, with her books on the pillow ready for bedtime. That was so sweet!!! Oops, almost forgot: our bed offered some of the best nights sleeping I had had in years. The villas are relatively new, well maintained, slight signs of their age but very well kept. I think this is totally reflected in the price relative to other resorts. We were totally happy with our accommodations. Thank you Red Palm Villas and Ruth for an outstanding stay!
