“Great fresh sushi!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We went to Koji tonight for Valentines Day dinner because of the great reviews we read on Trip Advisor. And they were not wrong! Good drinks, creative rolls and incredibly fresh raw fish. We both had super happy tummies leaving this place. Only drawback is that it is very close to the dirt road so every time a car drives by, a cloud of dust comes with it. But it's worth it for the food!

“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013

We liked Koji's so much, we ate there twice. It was a short walk from our stay, Villas Hermosas, and highly recommended by the our hotel owners. The food was wonderful, large selection, and the staff very friendly. They spoke perfect English, so not a worry for our limited Spanish. Our favorite was the shrimp tempura (I'm not a tempura fan usually, but this was not greasy at all and the shrimp with the coating was light tasting) and something with sweet potato and curry lightly fried (I can't remember the name but ask for it!) The drinks were tasty, we tried several, and all the deserts were great. Our particular favorite desert was the banana flambe. I also had the California Roll with spicy sauce. Great sushi. The atmosphere was cozy and could be romantic if with two people. The restaurant is only open for dinner and candles and low string lights were the only lighting in this outdoor restaurant. Loved it!

For those that don't like sushi, there are a few other options.

“Koji is the spot, even if you don't like sushi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

Koji's is THE spot for dinner in Santa Teresa. I don't even like sushi and we eat there several times whenever we visit. You will usually need a reservation because it is always crowded.

“awesome space, expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Koji is cool enough to be tucked away off Abbot Kinney boulevard in Venice CA, which might explain the prices. A long dinner with a bottle of wine here will set you back nearly as much as it would in LA. But if you want to get out of the bustle of Santa Teresa, or you want a romantic outdoor meal, or you just really want sushi, Koji is a great experience.
