“I love Surf Vista Villas.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2012

Santa Teresa is one of my favorite places on the planet. I've been to twice, and will definitely go again. There are many places to stay in Santa Teresa, but without doubt, one of the best is Surf Vista Villas. Perched atop a lush hill overlooking the ocean, Surf Vista is where you want to be in Santa Teresa if you're looking for a clean, quite and safe place to stay. There are four units, each one a little different from the next. I was there for almost three weeks and stayed in two of the apartments, one upstairs, one down. I loved both. Each unit has a kitchen, living room area, bathroom and amazing views. Everything there is very well maintained and very clean. The staff are lovely and very helpful - really great people. You will need a car or ATV if you're staying at Surf Vista, because it's up quite a steep hill, but it's well worth it. I loved Surf Vista Villas. It's a fantastic a place. Do yourself a favor and book here.

The Surf Vista Villas are worth every penny spent. They are large, clean, secluded -- your practically living amongst nature. The view is more than spectacular and if you plan on surfing (like my friends and I were), you can check out the waves from your front porch. Juan and Andy answered any question we had, gave us tips on good surf spots and hooked us up with any equipment needed for the trip.

When I was planning our trip to Santa Teresa, I chose to stay here because of the reviews I read. Now I can say I'm one of those satisfied people.

This property is beautiful and well maintained. Juan and Andy are so warm and welcoming it is like home away from home. The only slightly negative thing I can say is that the hill you must walk up and down to get to the beach and town is rather daunting at first. But, if you look at it as an opportunity to firm the butt it makes it a little easier. I really loved this place.

Great stay in a fantastic location!!!The view was amazing!Beautiful rental w/ HOT WATER . Really cool decorations and HUGE view. Well worth the money b/c off the main road up the mountain- and away from the dust from the road. Great for vacationers and surfers. Surfers would love the view - able to see the surf from the rental. Even had surfboards to rent. Juan can arrange tours - and provide the best insider/local information about where to eat/party/explore. Juan was so helpful!!!!
Juan even watched out for me and my friend (2 solo female travelers) during the Full Moon party. Driving the road up is well worth it. Need 4 wheel drive or lots of courage to get up the road but once your are there, you are rewarded w/and awesome view and no neighbors. Totally equiped kitchen. Hot water shower. Comfy mattress. Tons of inside and outside space. Would recommend!!!!!!!! wish I lived there:)

Beautiful views from every villa, quiet and secluded. Listen to the howler monkeys in the mornings and watch toucans and wild parakeets crack avocados in the trees in the afternoon. Wide variety of good food available in a matter of minutes from a host of restaurants and Tico eateries. Incredible sunsets and glorious mornings complete with a genuine Costa Rican coffee maker. Yoga, surf lessons, zip-line all within minutes plus miles of beach at your disposal. Loved Andy and Juan, our hosts, new friends.

Andy, Juan and everyone else at the Surf Vista Villas was wonderful. Views were awesome as were sunsets. Watching monkeys in the trees off the decks was a highlight. There is a bit of a walk up the hill from the beach but it is in a nice quiet location. We did not want to leave and will go back for longer than a week next time. Full size kitchen and frige in each suite was nice. Thanks Andy
If you want to learn to surf, Juan is a great instructor. There are also two dogs on the property that are adorable and may just adopt you if given attention.

This place was fantastic. Andy's hospitality was above and beyond. He was always willing to recommend a surf spot, good restaurant or things to see. We felt very welcome.
Surf Vista Villas was very clean and safe. We stayed here the end of May/beginning of June 2011, during the low season, and the beaches were empty- barely any tourists.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The only regrets we have is not having stayed longer (we stayed a week) and not having brought a better camera. We have recommended Surf Vista Villas to many friends already and are looking forward to return.
Thanks, Andy!
