“Dust and thieves”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2013

It's really dusty here! Also...anything that isn't nailed down gets stolen by thieves here. I was 10 feet into the ocean when my bag was swiped off the beach. The thief ended up having a real bad day though when I caught up to him running through the woods and some locals and I delivered some vigilante justice!;) And leave absolutely nothing in your rental car either. Iphones are worth like 2K here and thieves will do anything to snatch one. They are [--] though.

“Great getaway and beautiful beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

If you love the ocean and laid back dining then you will love Santa Teresa. We rented a house as well as 2 ATVs for our transportation. Each day was spent at the ocean and pool and then venture out for a different lunch spot each day followed by ocean and pool again. Back on the ATVs in the evenings for great laid back dining. Favorite lunch spots were Chicken Joes and Habaneros. Favorite dinner spots were Florblanca, Casa del mar and Al chile viola. Drove ATVs to Montazuma falls one day and had lunch there in town. We were there in the Summer with low rainfall so it was a little dusty but that was to be expected. If you like a commercialized resort made of concrete and 1000s of other guests Santa Teresa may not be for you.

“Cool beach spot that's still got the sleepy small town vibe!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Santa Teresa is the cool beachtown hangout that still manages to balance all the development and tourism with a small town sleepiness. I loved that combination when I went and that's why the travel company I work for (Class Adventure Travel) likes to send travelers this way. The sunsets here are incredible and I also loved the variety of food options available in town. The ocean here can get a bit rough, perfect for surfers, but not the ideal conditions for swimming. This didn't bother us since we were happy just soaking up the sun and watching the surfers in the distance. Only two things to be wary of: 1. because of the unpaved main road, walking around means getting DUSTY and 2. Walk out for petty thievery, especially on the beach!

“Good surf break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

The beach is not too crowded, the waves are good to surf for a level of surfers and the vibe is good.

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Lovely beach but watch the waves. The rock pools were great for hunting crabs and fish. We also went riding along the beach and caught some great sunsets.
