“Amazing Scenery!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2012

2 Minutes to the beach and close to shopping but SECLUDED! This is a beautiful place to stay. Community kitchen and the rooms are VERY clean and beautiful. My room had a beautiful private deck! I could never decide either to swim in the ocean or at the beautiful pool! Great place and a great deal! Highly recommend.

My family of 4 and another family of 4 spent 6 nights at Atrapasuenos. We rented the top floor and it was perfect for our group: a full kitchen, a huge veranda where we could hang out together, a room we used as a movie and play room for the kids, and very comfortable and clean bedrooms and baths. The grounds are very nice and the pool is really perfect. There's private parking, it's a very short walk to the beautiful beach, and there are grocery stores and restaurants literally across the street and next store. We saw the other guests but noise didn't travel. The owners and staff were very accommodating, but we had to approach them (they never asked if we needed anything). They arranged excursions for us when asked and were friendly. We thought breakfast was included but were told upon arrival it wasn't because we rented the entire floor, which didn't seem like a very clear explanation; the rooms were tidied everyday, but there were no accessible cleaning supplies so we couldn't sweep and had to buy our own dish soap and paper towels. None of this was a big deal though and really meant that we were left alone. There were no intrusions. Ultimately it felt like our own private home and that made our stay in Santa Teresa all the more comfortable and enjoyable.

We rented three of the four rooms. It was perfect for a group of families with teenagers - clean pool, a delicious breakfast made for us each morning, walking distance to restaurants, a short walk to the beach. The pool and shaded patio are perfect for an afternoon break from the beach sun. The owners are very helpful and kind. We highly recommend Atrapasuenos.

Margo who owns this hotel saved us from the hotel hell that we spent the night before in by giving us her last room. Myself and my two friends stayed at this little piece of paradise for three nights. They have a nice little pool that is well maintained, and a jacuzzi. You can take a short walk down a path out the back and stroll on the beach, I went jogging. You are allowed to use the full kitchen and the other guests were very nice, we played poker and had cocktails with other guests. Margo herself helped arrange tours and gave good directions and maps when needed on how to get places since we had our own car. She went above and beyond and all she asked in return was if we enjoyed our stay to please give her a review, so here it is. Thanks Margo and staff, you saved our trip to Santa Teresa.

Room Tip: All rooms are clean and nice, just pick one.

We stayed in their loft room at the end of March. The room was amazing and perfect for our group which consisted of my husband and I, our two children under the age of two and my brother. My brother stayed in the day bed in the common area and my family had the loft space. My brother was able to stay up and watch TSN (which he was very excited they had on their flat screen) while my family went to bed early. We all found the beds pretty comfortable. The private balcony with two hammocks all for us was incredible!!!
The accommodations were an unbelievable value. Restaurants aren't cheap so having our own kitchen was great and there was a supermarket right across the street! Everything was in walking distance of the hotel.
One of the best things about our stay were the owners and operators. They are a really nice couple and the service we got throughout our stay was incredible. They arranged a local babysitter for us at $3/hour! Her English was very limited but she was so great with our infant and it allowed me to go surfing worry-free. They anticipated a lot of our needs and took care of everything for us in excellent time. We checked out a lot of the other hotels while we were there and were very happy with our choice. We'll be coming back.
Great Surf Location!!!

Atrapasueños lives up to its name ("Dreamcatcher"), as it felt like a dream come true. We were a party of 9 who booked it for 10 days, and we endured some hellish travel from the States, thanks to a blizzard. But once there, it was like a weight lifted. Our host Juan was just like our mellow uncle who was there if we needed anything.

The entire property is surrounded by a wall, hence privacy and security despite being centrally located on the main road. Rooms are clean/spacious/comfy. The beach is so close, if you can pull yourself away from the sweet pool area.

We found a gem in the heart of ST that made our New Year's Eve a truly unforgettable experience. The epitome of Pura vida!
