My partner Daniel and I were on our three weeks trip around Costa Rica. We were so lucky to meet Vanessa and Ramon during our first week in Costa Rica. They were amazing people having shared the best tips on what to see in Costa Rica.
We then stayed with them at their new hotel El Rey Patricio as THEIR FIRST GUESTS!!!! Great time, great place and great people!!!
We intended to stay for two nights but we prolonged our staying for another two. The bungalow we had was clean, comfortable with the most amazing view over the ocean and the beautiful sunset.
They made us feel warmly welcomed since the moment we arrived. We enjoyed every minute of our staying there. We would like to come back in a near future. It is the place that shoul not be missed when you are in that part of Costa Rica. We strongly recommed it!!
Holaaa Ramon and Vanessa, from Eva and Daniel xx

Room Tip: Bungalows have a beatiful ocean views.

My girlfriend and I have just left El Rey Patricio after staying there for three magical weeks. Lee, Jane, Gage and Grace were perfect hosts making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. On top of that Lee's cooking was fantastic as were Jane's baking skills.
The hotel itself is situated within spitting distance of Playa Hermosa which has fantastic waves for all levels of surfers for those that way inclined. There is also a sizeable rock pool revealed at low tide, for those who prefer more sedate water based activities, just across the road. Take snorkelling gear.
It's also a hop and a skip away from a fantastic sushi place, Koji's, and a cool little restauraunt with no name run by some Argentinian chaps, Gustavo and Pablo.
Our room was fantastic, complete with AC, fridge, a big comfortable bed and a veranda for relaxing on.
We couldn't have asked for more.

Room Tip: The upper bungalow has the best views and breeze...

We stayed at El Rey Patricio a few weeks ago and had an amazing time! It is located right across from the ocean. We walked out on the beach for sunsets and fell asleep listening to the waves every night! Jane and Lee were awesome! They made sure we did everything we wanted to do while visiting Costa Rica! They helped us from lining up transportation to finding great lunch and entertainment spots!! We didn't want to leave thanks to the perfect location and amazing hosts! Thanks Jane, Lee and beautiful Santa Teresa!!

I stayed at El Rey Patricio with a friend at the end of Feb the place was amazing. The Owners Lee and Jane were so welcoming and the rooms were comfortable and very clean. Lee is a wonderful cook that makes a mean breakfast before you head out for your day of surfing. And Jane was always around if you needed anything and willing to help with a huge smile. If you are close to Santa Teresa this is the place to stay.

I stayed at El Rey Patricio for four nights in early January this year. I stayed in a beach bungalow that was simple, yet very comfortable and good value for the price. Jane and Lee are great hosts, they go out of your way to make you feel welcome and it truly did feel like I was staying at a friend's beach house. It's in a beautiful secluded part of Santa Teresa and they have a restaurant & bar on site which is also great. This was a lovely part of my trip and I'd happily recommend this place.

My girlfriend and I stayed at El Rey after wandering the coastline looking for places to stay. In an area of high prices, El Rey pulled through instantly... it was a fantastic place to stay and Lee and Jane will be the main reasons we come back again! Our room was neat and had a view of the ocean from our hammock. The food was incredible, and the company was even better.

Lee & Jane, thanks again for making our stay a great memory... From the Canadians who stapled the $5 bill to the bar.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room on the opposite side of the bar with a view of the ocean.
