Spent a week at the studios ensconced in a well-appointed, clean, safe and surf-induced haze-of-mind courtesy of PSS! The property is seconds from the beach tucked away on a barely perceptible pathway connecting the ocean-front to Santa Teresa's "main street". I was in one of the 4-ground floor studios overlooking the pool. Breakfast with the omnipresent Coco (the owner's charming Doberman), formal surf lessons with arguably the most impressive surf mentor I could have ever hoped for (Paoblo), and lazy afternoons laid-out in my studio patio's hammock, all my expectations were exceeded. Just enough privacy to feel remote, but also just enough company to feel connected, the hotel is perfectly sized to give the feeling that you're really just at a vacation cottage chilling out with a small number of like-minded friends. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom fairly sized. My studio was always cleaned by noon, and the floors of both my terrace and studio mopped thoroughly. Though I didn't make use of any of the ATV's, my "neighbors" seemed to take advantage of them, renting one for the week so to have access to further areas of the ocean to thus pursue more challenging and/or better waves. There's a little outdoor bar area with comfortable sofas and poofs adjacent to the pool area that offers happy hour and post-sun set drinks daily, and appetizers on special days during the week (in my case, it was Monday and there was a local DJ who was overseeing just the right music for the ambiance for our particular small gathering). There's a grocery/convenience store less than 10-minutes walk, along with cafes and local restaurants offering very reasonably priced menus just on the main drag. The grocery store is a bit overpriced but that's expected given the location. PSS was able to coordinate all my transportation needs, including the door-to-door transportation back to San Jose airport. They have boards and surf lessons for all people of all skill sets. I was mostly impressed with just how accommodating the staff was and how accessible Simone the owner was, along with his GM (Pepe). My room had adequate WI-FI with the signal growing stronger the closer I was to the pool or main reception area near the entrance. Overall, I'd return in a heart beat, probably staying longer, and renting an ATV to add to the 'local' adventure factor. Highlights for me was watching the sunset with my friends every night, and returning for a moon lit swim at the pool, sharing and regaling in surf stories of the day with other guests! ... Low-light for me was having to say adios to Coco, my loyal early morning jogging security detail, and dedicated lunch & dinner companion par excellence! ...
