“Go there!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014

We are a Swedish couple who have spent 1 months in Santa Teresa. Alma is on our top 3 list of places to eat. We have only had the fish dishes, but they are grat and has a little twist when you are a bit tired of regular spicy Tunas and Mahi. Great service, cosy and definately worth a try. Go there!

“Good Food, cozy atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

I went to Alma two nights ago with my husband and we were happily surprised. We had a delicious unagi roll to share as an appetizer, my husband had the shrimp pad thai as the main course and I had the catch of the day in a curry sauce with sauteed vegetables on the side. The size of the pad thai could have been bigger but it was full of flavor and the amount of shrimp was more than enough. My mahi was very fresh, skin-on and the curry sauce was wonderful. I also had a refreshing pizco sour that was served in a beautiful big glass. Loved it!
The place is small and cozy perfect for a date but not for a family or a big group of friends. The prices are good for the quality of the food. The service is a bit slow though. Overall I would say Alma is a must if you come to Santa Teresa. Good eats!

“Amazing food and great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

We ate dinner and lunch at Alma's and if we had more time in Santa Teresa we would have gone back again. The owners/chefs are amazing, the food was incredible and the cozy restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. We highly recommend Alma's!!

“Fabulous, fresh seafood and charming service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014

We had our second lunch in as many days at Alma today, and it was terrific once again. The ceviche is wonderful, and the fresh fish with curry was also a big hit. The Chilean owner is very kind and engaging. No sushi at lunch, but no crowds, and the food was still terrific and VERY fresh. Prices are perhaps a bit higher than some other options, but seem very reasonable given the quality of the food and experience. Hoping to try Alma for dinner one of these evenings...

“The best meal I had in Costa Rica!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2014 via mobile

We went to Alma because of we had heard that they had sushi at this place, but ended up eating something else from the meny, because it sounded so good - and it was! Really the best place! :) backpacker travelling from Norway.
