“I felt safe and at home.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

I spent 8 nights at the Zula Inn and didn't have a single problem. For the location and size of the bungalows it is a great value. It is not luxurious so if that is what you are looking for than you probably wont like it. If you are looking for friendly owners and staff that treat you with respect and want to make sure your visit is pleasant, safe and fun then this is the place to stay in Santa Teresa.

My girlfriend and I spent 5 nights at Zula Inn. The owners are kind, fun and always willing to help in any way. We stayed in a 1 BR bungalow; the room was very clean and quiet.
The hotel is conveniently located just 100 mt from Playa Carmen.
We loved it and would certainly go back!

We were really happy here - stayed an extra night because we liked it so much! The price was right the owners were extremely helpful - even rented us surfboards, the kitchen was also handy so we could cook our own food. My favourite feature of our bungalow was the hammock on our patio. Now get ready...there are lots of ants...we just got used to this as in CR there are ants everywhere. The shower wasn't overly warm either. We still enjoyed this accommodation and ST so much! Next trip I plan to spend more time here.

My daughter and I reserved a room at Zula Inn via anywherecostrarica.com for our first visit to this area. This was a very comfortable hotel, composed of individual cabins, complete with kitchen, outdoor beach shower, and, best of all a shady patio with hammock, table and chairs and a rocker. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, including the pet dog and cats who came to visit. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a bar/lounge area that is self serve and on the honor system, guests note what they drank on a clipboard. The beach is a short walk away. With the hot mid-day weather, the pool area is a great option for cooling off in the shade after a swim. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in Santa Teresa!

We enjoyed our time here so much! We planned to stay a few days and ended up there for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed the studio apartment/ room. We used the ample kitchen for many meals. The staff was always looking out for us and we felt like our stuff was safe there even when we were away for hours. The pool is so relaxing. There is a nice lounge area/ palappa to spread out into and visit with other guests. They helped a lot with trip planning and the like. I highly recommend it and we were definitely go back to it. One of the best values for lodging in the Santa Teresa beach area. Away from the dusty road and quiet, relaxing.

We made our reservation rather quickly based on the reasonable price and good TA reviews, however our expectations were far exceeded from the moment we arrived. The rooms were clean and cozy, beds were very comfortable, patio private with a hammock. The grounds were lovely and private. We traveled with friends and we all enjoyed meeting for coffee in the Rancho in the morning to discuss plans for the day and taking a dip in the pool in the afternoon. The location was perfect...minutes from the most gorgeous beaches, yet secluded from the traffic and dust of the main road. Our hosts Avi and Rotem were friendly and helpful and fun. The food at their restaurant, Zula, down the road was among the best we had in CR, a fun mix of Israeli and CR traditional foods. We can't wait to come back and stay longer. Rochelle

Room Tip: Our room lacked a coffee pot.

We loved a dip in the pool, sitting in the outdoor lounge and the rather nice rooms. The owners were extremely accommodating, warm and helpful. Their restaurant, a short walk from the inn, has some of the best Tico food we have had and the mix with Israeli food, especially hummus to die for, was both unique and fun. It is a short walk to town and to some of the best pacific beaches in the world. The rooms are private individual bungalows that are very homey and comfortable. We highly recommend this place and if we return to Santa Teresa, we would definitely stay there.

Room Tip: All were great.
