“Wonderful place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Casa Colina was a great place to stay for a week. The open design is very unique and the view from the huge double window in our room was amazing. Our upstairs room was a perfect place to enjoy the scenery and sounds of the beach any time of day. There was plenty of space to make meals, play games around the big dining table, or just relax in the semi-outdoor lounge area. It felt both romantic and fun. I enjoyed being up the hill a few hundred feet from the main road. The location gives the feeling of more seclusion while still being just a short walk to town and the beach. Ariana was very helpful both before and during our trip; getting us information and organizing transportation when we needed it. She makes Casa Colina even more wonderful. I would stay there again with no hesitation.

Casa Colina is a clean, nice and central place to spend the night! Only 3 minutes to walk to the beach, and still away from a dusty summer road. The owner Ariana is great and will help you to make your stay the best as possible!

In Casa Colina I spent amazing times, i stayed for about two months and got to know a lot of interesting people because it has the character of a flat share. still there is way enough space for privacy, rest and relaxation.
Casa Colina is ran by the sweetest owner, she has three beautiful dogs for protection and loving.. The rooms have definitely the best ocean view around St Teresa, with a decent price, super close to the beach and supermarket or restaurants :)

I have stayed at Casa Colina and love many things about it. It is a beautiful, clean respit that sits just above the main Road in Playa Carmen between St. Teresa and Mal Pais. The rooms are clean and simplw with a beautiful view of the ocean. There is a beautiful rustic open kitchen/ living "room" area that is really mostly outside. It is cool in the afternoon with the breeze.

Ariana is an amazing lady. She and her Filas, affectionately called the pupps (they are very big dogs) live there overseeing the place. She has lived in the area for a very long time and is extremely knowledgeable about activities and the area. It is a very relaxed environment. Breakfast is included in your stay and provides a nice fresh start to the day.

The location is great because you are right in the middle of everything for easy access but set up the hill a little so as not to be right in the mix. I highly reccommend you stay here. Get in touch with her to find out if there are rooms available!!

Room Tip: Upstairs with the big window overlooking the ocean!! There are a few.

Spent three days at the beautiful Casa Colina in Santa Teresa. A clean, spacious and stylish house with four rooms for rent. Just three minutes away from the beach, but just far enough uphill from the dusty mainroad of Santa Teresa. Owner Ariana, originally from Germany, but more then 20 years in Costa Rica now, makes you feel at home immediately, and is a great help if advice is needed. Also a perfect place for solo travellers. The rates are very good for what you get. Just go there, you won't regret.

Came to Casa Colina on a school adventure with 12 other students ..what a great experience. Everyone at Casa Colina was helpful, friendly, and could always point us in the right direction to have a good time. Great views especially from the top corner west bedroom, hint if you can claim that first you'll wake up every morning the happiest person in the house for sure. If you stay here take surf lessons with their surf school as well!!! What a great time!! ..will never forget it!

Loved the view from our room--out to the ocean across the tops of the trees. Great location close to town and the beach (no need for a car) Could hear and see monkeys and tropical birds. Breakfast was wonderful. Fruit, great coffee and very tasty every meal. Great spot for couples looking to enjoy St. Theresa and Mal Pais beaches.
