The hotel is pretty and the pool and food are nice, but they slammed our credit card with bogus charges, and also slammed the credit cards of two of the other group members. On the dates of our visit, they had no activities desk and no concierge to help plan stuff to do. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and there is NOTHING to do except swim in the pool or lie on the beach.
On the plus side, the rooms were clean, the wireless worked, the restaurant food was good, and the local troop of howler monkeys was entertaining, even if they did start howling at 5 AM every morning and woke us up. I suggest you stay someplace where you can walk to town, or at least they will have sailboats to rent, or SOMETHING to do. If you're on a honeymoon, it doesn't matter.
We did a Palo Verde nature boat ride which was excellent, although 45 minutes from the hotel, reached over a bumpy dirt road, passable in a regular car during the dry season. Highly recommended if you like wildlife. Iguanas, birds, crocodiles, etc.
