“Great family adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

Our family of five had a great time at the Bocawina Zip Line. As a mom of three, I felt it was safe and made for a great adventure for the whole family. Jesus and Tony did a wonderful job with our family. I was apprehensive at first, but they put my mind at ease. My 8 year old twins would do it again in a second. I highly recommend it for anyone.

“A Great Time in the Jungle”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 7, 2013

On our recent trip to Belize, my family visited the Bocawina Zip Line for a nighttime zip experience. Prior to our zip lining, we did a waterfall rappel which was a lot of fun but the night zip line was the highlight of the visit. First, the course itself is well done with lots of fast lines with one being over 2000 ft. You are provided a headlamp for the night zip which makes the hike easy but does little to illuminate the night as you fly through the darkness which is why it is so much fun. You also get to rappel several times during the tour which is a fun addition to the zip lining. The zip line itself is very safe and the guides do a great job of making it fun and keeping it safe. Over the years, we have done a lot of zip lining but the nighttime zip was definitely different and well worth the investment.

“Adventures of a Lifetime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2013

I had the time of my life touring around Belize with my sister and friends. We went on some amazing adventures with Bocawina, both on and off site. We got up early and took a road trip to see the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. Our tour was fascinating and informative and it all began with our driver, Cesar. Not only is he knowledable but he is super sweet and continuously went out of his way to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. We stopped to check out a Mennonite stand on the side of the road and took a little break after the ruins for a snack that the staff back at Mama Noots had packed for us. Nothing like refreshing watermelon and homemade cookies after a long day in the sun! We then packed back up and went for a fun/relaxing excursion of cave tubing (don't worry, it's not as scary as it sounds... it's a nice float down the river and through some really cool caves). Lunch was included, which was convenient and made the excursion more affordable. The following day, we hiked up to Antelope Falls with Hugo and Vidal. At the top we swam in the pools, jumped off the rocks and hung out under the waterfall. SO MUCH FUN! Then, we strapped on our gear and off we went - down the waterfall! AMAZING! Of course, one can't visit Bocawina and not partake in the longest zip line in Central America! Luckily, we had the same two stellar guides for our zip lining adventures. We took a ton of photos but had even more fun than those pictures can document. The staff and guides here are incredible and the views are out of this world! Can't wait to go back!

“Awesome experience, family friendy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

Our party of 5 (including Mom, who is usually fearful of heights) were greeted warmly by the Mama Noots staff. We were outfitted with safety gear and informed of what to expect. The zipline course was very well put together, with 2 cables per zip to ensure our safety. We were clipped in at all times for safety while on the platforms, and triple clipped while crossing. The staff were very attentive and we all agreed that we felt safe the entire time (even Mom!). I have a bad shoulder and was worried that the action of holding onto the line would aggravate it. I found that the harness does all the work, there are no drops or jerks on your arms, and it didn't hurt at all. The zip lines are very long- and you get a glorious view of the jungle while flying through the air. A bonus: the staff had great eyes for birdwatching and were very knowledgeable about the wildlife. We saw 3 different birds in/on 1 tree (owl, woodpecker, small green toucan)! After our zip adventure, we ate lunch at the restaurant right there which served YUMMY food, and had very friendly/accommodating staff. Mama Noots is located inside of a national park with multiple hiking options so to finish out our day, we hiked to the top of nearby Antelope Falls, a challenging hike with a rewarding swimming hole at the top!! An amazing family outing for all.
