“Never to return again”

Stayed in a superior hillview room. Room is old, washroom stinks and despite calling the reception to complain, they only send a staff up to spray some refreshener in the washroom and 1 hour later the stinking urine smell is back again. Bathtub shows sign of aging with yellowish stains. Bedding was still okay to me.

Breakfast was nothing to shout about, 2 main dishes and the fried mihun was tasteless, not forgeting about the awful coffee which to me is an embarassment coming from a 4 star hotel.

Will never return and staf wasn't courteous enough to at least offer a change of room.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at the Hydro Hotel during your recent trip to Penang.

I am extremely grateful to you for taking the time to share your comments in the review with regards to your experience here at the Hotel.

First of all , I would like to apologize for the inconvenience you have experience with the room which was allocated to you upon arrival. Your feedback with regards to the condition of the room has since been highlighted to the Executive Housekeeper as well as the Front Office Manager towards the lack of attention on the overall cleanliness of the room and the reception staff who failed to offer a change of room when all these issues were highlighted by our guests. Your feedback on the breakfast spread have also been directed to the Executive Chef to ensure the breakfast quality is being addressed accordingly.

Immediate actions have since been taken with the Head of Department concerned on the issues highlighted to ensure our service standards are re-looked at thoroughly.

On behalf of my entire team, our sincere apologies and we very much hope that you will afford us the opportunity of welcoming you and your family back with us again in the future.

The housekeeping service too slow.. Took them 6 hours to deliver towels to our room.. & that was after our 3rd call to the front desk & they say "going now"
Room facilities a bit old with not functioned remote control..
Others so far okay...

“Quiet environment”

Room is quiet to be stayed in. The room is clean and spacious enough. However the parking need to be improved as the space for us to make turning is very limited. Besides, variety of breakfast is not as good as per comment

“Nice seaview room and lovely breakfast”

Our room has a good view facing the pool & the sea, it was splendid! We spend most our time either in the pool or at the beach. Massage & spa is available right next to the pool. The location is perfect. just nearby Batu Feringgi town which is so happening during night time.

The room was very clean and tidy, with plenty of towels and robes for everyone (note: robes won't fit the larger family members but let's face it - we probably need a diet anyway!). Room-service is fast and efficient and the restaurants are great.

A 20 minute drive will take you to Gurney Drive to sample Penang's glorious hawker fare.

Stayed June 2012, traveled with my wife :)

“just fair”

first about food, not much choice, not tasty. Got a bird's droping on the chair and table , so not clean. How can the waiter & waitress did'nt se that. Second about room, got a crack sink. But i very like the view, seaview. Very nice. Hope the hotel make some improvement.
